The problem with Fort Wars is that hosts usually create a minigame with all features enabled.  To include events which have no place in Fort Wars (relays, datablock changing, etc.). 

Too bad that, as far as I'm aware, there is no mod that allows you to disable specific events. And VCE is really nice to have in fortwars, because you can create a team chat with it, and keep people out of your spawn room.

Plus, if I recall, the forums from 2005 were a lot different than they were in 2010.

They were even different in 2008. My first post that is available to see was an add-on. No one flamed me for it.

How to not get viruses; A 2 step program with 4 maintenance suggestions:

 1) Wipe your hard drive to get rid of any pre-existing viruses.
 2) Before you do anything else download a trusted anti-virus software from the official site.
 3) Do not use your computer to do anything illegal. (People/websites that provide you with illegal services cannot be trusted.)
 4) Do not click any suspicious links; always check to make sure something is legit.
 5) Do not do anything related to research.
 6) Do not make hackers mad at you.

Um, then how the forget are you going to play the game?

The recovery thing lets you change your password.

Apparently, it does let you change your password, but my internet was running slow, so I closed the window before it loaded, and clicked the link again later, but it only works once. So I redid the thing and got my account fixed.

The Aeria Games website is super handicapped. I made an account 2 years ago and forgot the password. So I do the password recovery things, but it doesn't give me my old password, it just logs me in without one. So now I can change the password to something I can remember. Every time I want to log in, I am going to have to use the recovery thing.

Badspot has posted his opinion on build stealing over and over again. By not sharing builds, you are depriving the game of on of the essential features.

Stop acting like 3-year-olds and trying to hoard things you have an infinite supply of. People who try and hold onto their builds are pathetic, "Oh no! They didn't say it was made by me! I'm going to lose my e-rep!" or, "Let's make it all about me, you guys can only have fun with my build when I'm on."
