Seems stuffty that you have to smelt Bronze with Oak wood, and higher grade metals with higher grade wood. Wood's wood, two oak logs should do just as well as a willow in the current system.
As to swapping between tools, hopefully in the equipment system he'll be making it so that your current selected weapons go in your tools (I'd say two slots would be fine for that)

Also, you do need wood to craft metals, but Zack0 rejected the idea of charcoal when we suggested it, because it would be a waste of time to craft or something.

It's pretty awesome.
I still think that the ability to gather new resources should be more frequent in terms of levels, levels should be harder to gain, and there should be more resources of each type.
So rather than having 5 types of wood spaced out as 1, 5, 15, 40, 100; it could be 10 types of wood spaced out as 1, 5, 10, 20, 30, 35, 50, 60, 75, 100.
With the method with 10 resources, the levels would be harder to gain so you would get a new resource type as often as with the 5 type method. However, the goals would seem closer, and therefor keep people's interest better.
And also, with the 10 type method, it would just make the game longer over all, so no one masters it too quick.

Me and Eksi can not find out how it can tell if a brick can or cannot be broken.From what I understand, when a brick is broken, all bricks adjacent to it check to see if they are floating, and if so, they break. This process just continues until all of the floating bricks are destroyed.
