General Discussion / Re: last words anyone
« on: February 25, 2023, 09:00:06 AM »
Some of the most important people in my life I met because of this game. I wish I could continue to take part in a community like this that I grew up in forever. I had almost no IRL friends during my childhood and growing up homeschooled, so meeting the lovely people from this game really helped me. I look forward to meeting any of you blockheads out in the wild some day if our paths cross.

Congratulations, that is beautiful you found someone through this game you could live the rest of your life with. This game lead me to a path in my life I wouldn't have dreamed of without meeting the people that I did. All of my friends are a direct result of it. I am forever grateful for who I am because of those people.

I had a 96 cutlass cierra until about two years ago when the sub frame just completely rusted out. My rear tires were rubbing against the body, lmao. that car was swag.
i want another old blocky car like that, but Wisconsin winters destroy every car older than a decade.

so basically a conservative hugbox because everywhere else has standards for what amount of propaganda and disinformation they allow on their platform, and the right-wing crowd can't deal with the consequences of being fact checked when they type whatever their opinion is as fact with nothing to back it up. Weaponized stupidity has become a problem because a shocking amount of peopl do not care about what the truth is any more.
The priority set on who you can trust is a big issue as that's where disinformation spawns from.
Unless news sources can be held accountable by the public for spreading disinformation, there will not be a precedent for whether fact or opinion matters.
People need to always be open to changing their mind on topics when given new information. A lot of people are too afraid to change their opinion on something because that would require self humility, so they choose to die on the dumbest hills and never leave their opinion bubbles.

claiming the system is rigged against you is an easy cop out when you can't fathom why you might just have a stuffty argument.
Like, nobody went on Jeopardy and cursed out alex trebek because they didn't know any of the questions.

I've been using the same pair of sennheiser hd25-1 II's since like 2012 cause they're indestructable and have a very flat response. Not the most comfortable.
I already have a set up for recording music so I typically just use a Shure beta58 plugged into my allen&heath mixer when I'm on my desktop

it's easy to ignore stats when your entire basis of logic disregards anything factual and replaces it with your superstitions and beliefs.
some reason people believe biden supporters are as enthusiastic about him as Annoying Orange supporters are about Annoying Orange, but the truth is it's just nice to not be on the path of dictatorship. Kamala harris is a bastard and so is joe biden, but I'm not putting religious levels of faith into them either. There's a reason debates bring up Annoying Orange rallies vs BLM or Antifa protests instead of Annoying Orange vs Biden rallies. Annoying Orange as an entity has grown this hive of followers that will support every word that comes out of his mouth to the point of contradiction.
Biden taking office is just a byproduct of not wanting to put up with the insanity that has occurred from people ignoring statistics and leaving behind human empathy because it doesn't generate money.

It's like people can't understand that not everybody can be a trade electrician or plumber or stock investor or whatever it takes to not be living paycheck to paycheck. It takes empathy to realize how different everyone's life is and that being a 40/hr a week cashier at some retail joint shouldn't be considered a failure at taking every opportunity in life just because you don't frame houses 13 hours a day or whatever and actually want to spend some of your life doing things other than work. shocker.

I think the internet is catching up to people where now almost everyone across the entire internet has some sort of embarrassing backlog of posts they've made as a kid. If you want to be untraceable then I guess make a new identity. If you've ever posted your real life information on your account however, good luck lmao.
Either way, what you've posted online is never that big of a deal as long as you are capable of handling humiliation. Unless you're a criminal. Or it leads to some kid you killed in CSGO locating where you live and stabbing you in the neck as revenge.

no thanks

"I'm sure the media and government are looking out for my best interest, they know whats right! Right?"
what a hot take.
Even if we're looking at this in a critical "your government only cares about your money not your livelihood" way (which is awfully true for the US), do you think the government really wants to see the people it milks for money get infected and die? Meanwhile driving costs up for medical coverage due to insufficient supplies and hospital spaces? I would bring the cost of stimulus check relief into this too if what was supplied wasn't a complete joke.
I'm all for criticizing the system and thinking twice about what people want you to believe, but it's ignorant to assume the government is a chaotic evil.
