This composite image shows a superbubble in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC), a small satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, located about 160,000 light years from Earth. Many new stars, some of them very massive, are forming in the star cluster NGC 1929, which is embedded in the nebula N44. The massive stars produce intense radiation, expel matter at high speeds, and race through their evolution to explode as supernovas. The winds and supernova shock waves carve out huge cavities called superbubbles in the surrounding gas.

X-rays from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory (blue) show hot regions created by these winds and shocks, while infrared data from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope (red) outline where the dust and cooler gas are found. The image was released Aug. 30, 2012.

It was the brightest apparent magnitude stellar event in recorded history, reaching an estimated −7.5 visual magnitude. First appearing in the constellation of Lupus between April 30 and May 1 of that year"

Lately I've been having fun with the idea of building a homemade projection unit to project various space things in my room using lens from broken cameras and LEDs from flashlights and what not. I got inspiration from this video

Does anybody have any helpful resources related to this sort of thing? I'm not interested in actually buying a computer-aided projector, I want to build.

I recently received a watch that allows you to rotate the bezel and see what constellations are in the sky depending on the date and time. It also shows where they are.
