Someone's getting butthurt over nothing. :P

I'm sorry, oh drama lord, for offending thee.

I didn't know there wasn't an edit button. I assumed that's what I clicked and posted again by accident.

Give me a few months. Maybe years. Haha

Also, I found this old thread.

http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=76561.0

LOOK AT THE DATE. I somehow happened to send my check 4 years to the day later.

This is only the last couple of times he's done this. I don't have chatlogs for anything before this, but there's a lot more where this came from.

I work hard for my money. I don't think he understands that considering how many times I have to tell him "no." He's unfriended now.

you're right. There are also many more specific kinds,  but they're even less common.

Here's a video of them

They're similar to bagpipes but are much less common. They are fed air from bellows pumped under the right arm. They are also warmer and less harsh sounding. There are more features available to uilleann pipes, but they're totally optional and I'm going to start without them for learning and because they're expensive. They look easy to play, but are apparently one of the hardest instruments to play. The player must constantly pump air from the bellows into the bag and constantly keep pressure on the bag feeding into the chanter (tube with a reed and finger holes). You must also vary bag pressure to hit certain notes. Anyway, I'm stoked. I like a challenge.

The only ways to obtain a set are to buy an unplayable (but affordable) Pakistan set or locate one of the few (ten in the US) pipe makers and order them. They're custom made and it takes a few months (sometimes upwards of a year) to receive them. They're very hard to make and hard to make well.

I've finally decided to call up one of the pipe makers (Patrick Sky) with a more affordable set. It plays the same, but lacks "bells and whistles." It's going to run about $800 and have a two month build period. I'll probably send the payment early next week.

Woo.

I re-positioned all lifeboats (now historically accurate), added railing, added hardware, and re-designed the davits. It's the small details that make it for me.

Ah, I thought you meant pretty much converting a 3D model to voxels or something.

I would be far more impressed if someone managed to create a program to replicate the Titanic with Blockland bricks.

That's actually not too hard. You'd be more impressed if someone let a program do all the work than if they spend years making it by hand? Bro... :/

Is there any reason you're building the ship in the order you're currently doing it? Why is the bottom hull still unfinished? Why are there missing walls on the decks? I can understand why the is no real interior yet, but I assumed you'd build the exterior first.

My attention span.

I redesigned the lifeboats with design influence from Demian.

Current State:

Obviously, read the F.A.Q. If it's covered in the F.A.Q. and you still ask it, that's breaking a rule.

Do not ask to help.

Do not ask for admin.

Do not leave bricks on the server. Clean up after yourself.

Don't clutter my chat. We use it for work. If we miss something important because you're filling with with nonsense, you're gone.

Do not comment on how "laggy" it is. I don't care if it's server lag, brick lag, shader lag, or anything else. We don't care.

Is it done?
No. No it is not done.

When will it be done?
Actuarial tables and conservative estimates based on our building speed put completion at some time around mid 2016. Or, alternativly, when it's finished.

How long did it take?
4 days, no sleep, no food.

How long did it really take?
The build initially started around 2008 and has been built and rebuilt numerous times, there's no easy way to say just how long it has taken exactly but we've been hard at work and seen some real progress in the last few weeks.

Can I help?
Probably not. Unless you have exceptional knowledge of the Titanic itself or outstanding building skills we probably don't need you. Do not spout out suggestions or ways to help. Do not ask to help.

"I know a lot about the Titanic!"
RMS Gigantic can be the judge of that.

"I can build really well!"
Bones4 will be the judge of that.

Is this an RP?
Not right now it's not, and please don't try to RP, it's very distracting and the ship isn't close enough to completion for RP.

Will this be an RP?
We're not quite sure yet. It may be, it might not be, we need to finish first.

Is this a TDM/DM/Shooty-gun-fun/spunkgarggleweewee?
No and it won't be.

"Lol, I'm gonna build an iceberg in front of the ship!"
Please don't, we have an iceberg already and it's perfectly fine.

Can I get the doors you guys use?
Nope, sorry.

Can I get the other custom models you guys have?
Again, no. Their release is dependent on Demian. He decides. Not us.

"You guys didn't do [Insert thing here]!"
That's be cause it likely wasn't part of the actual Titanic or, more likely, we haven't gotten around to it yet.

"Does it sink?"
No. It doesn't sink.

Can you add water?
We can.

Will you add water?
We will.

When?
Whenever we feel like it.

I'm lagging!
I'd imagine you were, the build is approximately 152,687 bricks as of 10:47 PM CT on Frbruary 23rd 2015. All of which are packed into relatively small space.

"I bet if I get the admins trust that means I can help build!"
Nope, it means you'll get kicked or banned depending on how hard you tried.
