Broken and/or inaccurate.

One thing is being broken here: your thermometer, or the laws of physics. I see no reason to believe the latter.

If you take an object and put it somewhere where there's a temperature difference, then heat energy flows from the hotter object to the colder object until the two are the same temperature. That's all that happens. That's how the energy wants to flow, and in order to fight against it, in order to cool an object even further, requires a lot of energy spent in something like refrigeration. A fan is not a refrigerator. 20°c air is 20°c air. 20°c air being blown by a fan is still 20°c air. If you cool that air with refrigeration, then blow it, you can cool it further, but again, a fan is not a refrigerator.

i'm like 100% certain that you can't 3d print fur
Well, faux fur is just very thin strands of plastic
The only real limitation is the thinness/type of plastic that can be printed

posted multiple quotes of people saying this can still work even if it was fake
Congratulations, a couple people agree with you. All that means is those people are also wrong.

YouTube comments are far from a reputable source. Meanwhile, people posted much better resources saying you're wrong

stop reviving the argument we've derailed for at least 10 pages now
It should never have even started, but unfortunately people who don't understand basic science and think they're super smart are everywhere

If you're temperature sensor is reporting such low temperatures, it's broken. End of story

Most people don't necessarily want to be hateful
It's just that it's the easier option

When you see something strange, it's easier to follow along with everyone else that's saying "wow what a bunch of fukin weirdos" because checking it out and seeing what people actually do, then forming your own informed opinion, takes time and effort.

People will tell your things like "their a bunch of gay autistic perverts" "they just dress as animals and forget" etc. You could make the time and effort to get to know people, talk to them, see what they do, etc... Or your could spend no effort at all and just believe it. And the 'no effort' option is much more appealing to some people

But when a convention started in my state, I took the other option. I took the time and effort to go for a day, not knowing what to expect or if I'd like it, and I ended up having a lot of fun

i've made fun of furrys so many times i cant become one
Keep telling yourself that
I've seen many people go from hating them to loving them

It's a wonder how much actually checking something out before judging it will do.

since he literally called it a crime and I was responding to that, I figured it would be inferred that I mean legal obligation
oh yeah I guess I kinda skimmed over that

which they don't have any obligation to trust over their computers
Yeah they do, it's called having good customer service.

It's not like he's asking for free stuff or anything, just a return.
It doesn't cost the company anything (assuming they make him pay for return shipping) aside from the insignificant wage cost for a warehouse worker to press a few buttons and walk to the location the product goes.
It costs the company more not to because people will
shop somewhere else with better return policies

contact the bank and declare it a fraudulent transaction
you were under the impression that you were buying one keyboard for half the price charged
Keep in mind if you do this before the package arrives at your house, Newegg could recall both keyboards
Wait until it arrives, then call Newegg. Then call bank if Newegg won't help. You'll probably have to return the one though

as far as we know OP is entirely at fault. also probably as far as OP knows
it would be fair for newegg to give a refund, but telling your bank it's "fraudulent" is jumping the gun, until you know what actually happened
IIRC it's not just "ok here's your money guy and here's your fine newegg"
My bank gives you a temporary credit, then investigates the issue, which presumably would involve contacting Newegg. Then my bank either makes the credit permanent, or withdraws it, either because the results weren't good or the company issued their own reason or whatever
But yeah he should definitely try to work with Newegg first

any banks bigger than a local credit union are certainly gonna have 24/7 numbers you can call. when you're talking about very possibly all of someone's money you can't really afford to not have a way for them to deal with an emergency
this too

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense.
Are you sure you explained the situation to them properly or have interpreted their e-mail correctly?
It has been shipped
The "refunding fee" is most likely a restocking fee
"Any return for a refund may be subject to a restocking fee of 15% to 25% at Newegg’s sole discretion."
Although $40 is more than 25%

That's still stupid though. Call them and be more angry and threaten to shop somewhere else with better return policies

Just use the "return an item" section under order history
