No deviantart. Furaffinity and artists make a living out of it. They're not poorcigarettes. Especially with those prices and the amount of commisions they get.
no they don't lol
Maybe if you're a kid and $40 is still a lot for you
But if you figure out how many hours they spend, and divide the cost by that, you realize how little they make.
Prices are low as hell because the market is oversatured with artists. There's a few insanely popular artists who can charge a ton and still have people lining up, but the majority is really cheap.

8 gb is plenty of ram for whatever youre gonna be doing

yesssss
Maaaaaaybe
Heavy Photoshop and 3d rendering is one of the things that can push RAM usage
RAM is cheap enough that there's really no harm in just getting 16 if he think he might need it

Suggestions & Requests / Re: A updated Port Forwarding Tutorial
« on: August 11, 2015, 02:28:01 PM »
The idea is the same as always, just UIs have changed

The process of setting a static IP only changed as far as navigating to the IPv4 settings section.

If you consider the actual port forwarding process as "changed" then it will always be changed because each router will be sightly different. Every tutorial should be filled with "see your router manual for more"

IPv6 is mostly irrelevant to port forwarding because I've never seen/heard of an IPv6 only LAN. I've seen plenty with it sure, but not exclusively IPv6.

Can't over watting your computer forget it up
No

also does my mother board support ddr4?
Idk that's what pcparticker is for
Just choose some RAM and it'll give you compatible motherboards

Another thing is the Performance gap between intel and amd isn't very high, do you think I should save more money by getting an amd and maybe grabbing and SSD. ALSO I"M DOING EVERYTHING IN 4K RESOLUTION
A 22% difference isn't exactly "not very high"

An SSD is only going to improve loading times.
Rendering speed is going to be limited more by GPU/CPU speed

i meant pretentious in how it was explained to me, because there are obviously better ways to do it
Is
cores =/= performance.
Not good enough?
Perhaps a little lacking in an explanation of "why"... but you could have asked for that instead of not listening

I beg to differ
DDR3 16GB
DDR4 16GB
Ah, I just made a guess lol, last time I looked was quite a while ago
I'd go for DDR4 then

A lot of photoshop rendering and MAYA Rendering's.

What's the price gap between 16gb of DDR3 and DDR4 and what are the differences? Also I might invest into 32gb of ram if I need to.
DDR4 is like 2x the price I think?
RAM is so easy to upgrade, just stick with 16 and you can throw in 16 more if you actually need it, which you probably won't

alright you know what forget this stuff
i was trying to give him what i believe is a better cpu that would stick closer to his budget, but he has announced that it doesnt matter anyways so i guess go with the intel
but jesus christ you people do not have to be so god damn pretentious about itcase in point
If you just said "you could save some money buy using this" it would have ended
But you kept spewing "HURR MORE CORES BETTER PERFORMANCE DURR" no matter how many times people told you more cores does not equal better performance. It's a near perfect representation of jonnys post

performance, while affected by cpu power, is not affected as much as gpu power and hard drive optimization
Hard drive performance will mostly affect loading times. GPU will definitely affect anything that does video rendering, such as 3d rendering

If i'm doing editing will hyperthreading do anything?
What are you editing? Depending on what, RAM and GPU is probably a more important factor

DDR4?
A newer RAM standard

buddy the bare-bones specifications of these two processors prove that the amd outperforms the intel he has selected

Wtf are you talking about
What specifications?

its not that hard to understand
Is not hard to understand that more cores does not equal more performance. All it does is offer more multitasking capabilities. (And again, if multitasking is a concern, the i7 offers hyperthreading) For a single application, stronger individual cores (read: intel) will outperform numerous weaker cores

intel does offer much better performance if you can afford it though.
He's spending over $2k on this. He can afford it

boy how is an intel quad going to offer better performance than an eight core
Because there's far more factors to a CPUs performance that core count.
More cores is better now extreme multitasking, but games benefit more from single core performance
Also, hyperthreading = 2 virtual cores per physical core

the only difference between amd and intel is intel has a bigger price tag
Don't listen to this guy

AMD cpus offer good price/performance, but an intel is going to offer better performance. AMD is good for budget builds, but if you're spending $2k, go with intel.
Just know that the only difference between i5 and i7 is hyper threading, which isn't going to add anything for game performance

My only issue i see is that monitor is expensive as forget.
Edit: oh, it's 4k. That's why

version mapped to the inside of a cylinder for Maximum Authenticity coming soon probably
Is that drawn completely from scratch, or ripped from the game?

Remember, it's only discrimination if it's a minority! If it's against a majority, then it's "affirmative action!"  :cookieMonster:

Of course it's the same thing to many people, but some governments and/or employers don't see that way.
I don't know what Australia's stance is on it, and I don't feel like digging through it
