It shouldn't hit the player that's firing it. Raycasts ignore objects that they originate inside.
Check the documentation in the stickies

I don't think that it really matters to be that efficient.
Such small efficiency changes wouldn't be worth pursuing if it meant redoing a ton of code. But simply using a slightly different check whenever you write something isn't hard

You're firing a ray looking for players. The first it finds will always be the player firing it, because it's right there.

To fix it, add a fourth argument to the containerraycast call that is the player firing it:
%rayCast = containerRayCast(%start,%end,%mask,%obj);
This tells the function to ignore that object

Also, %hitObj will always be a player, since that's the only object type you're scanning for, so adding .client.player isn't adding anything

it's very possible to get DDoS'd using skype. several guides are available for the malicious. that's why discord has that in place.
You can ddos someone whether they're using Skype or not, all you need is their IP.
Also, they didn't say ddos, they said gank
Which, in MMO lingo (which is what this seems marketed towards), is when you're attacked by multiple players or one much higher level player, and you don't stand a chance against them. I don't see how Skype is relevant to that

Also I'm questioning the encryption claim they're making; you can encrypt the body of a message, sure, but IP addresses have to remain unencrypted, or the routers don't know how to route them. The only way I see around this is Tor, but I'd think that would be too slow for real time streaming, and any slowdown in something as critical as gaming communication isn't worth tinfoil-hat level comforts. If you're worried about your friends grabbing your IP from Skype and ddosing you, get better friends

"Encrypted server to client communication keeps your IP address safe"
uh
"Stop getting ganked because you're logged into Skype"
What?

Does anyone else dislike English translations of foreign songs?
The lyrics have to be changed so heavily to make the rhythm/rhyme fit that so much meaning is lost

My macro tubes arrived. It was a set of three different lengths, autofocus is supposed to work on any of them in any combination but it only works with the biggest one.
Ok I figured this out.
They all work, but they don't fit tightly so you have to wiggle them around to make the contacts align

Here's the first picture I took as a test

At 100% the back of the inside is very noticeably out of focus, but I like it for a first macro attempt. I'll just have to get more images to stack next time

Actually you can set the shape name distance to 0 and you won't see it at all
I tried doing this a while ago and you couldn't, it had a minimum distance. I remember making a coding thread help about the subject.

Unless it was changed recently

Modification Help / Re: Run a function anytime a brick is planted

Couldn't you parent plantbrick and just like

get client's current brick group size
Call parent
get brick group size again
If size is greater than previous size, then assume it was successfully planted?

The problem with using onPlant to prevent bricks from being planted is that you're left with a click sound from placing, destroy sound, and falling killed brick, which kinda looks/sounds bad and some people will use it to spam sounds by holding down plant brick

You can parent serverCmdPlantBrick and then check what the %client.player.tempBrick is.
the methods you want are fxDTSBrickData::onPlant(%this, %obj) and fxDTSBrickData::onLoadPlant(%this, %obj).

You'll want one of these, though which one depends on specifically what you want it to do. If you say exactly what you want to do, we could tell your which is better

acer aspire tc-120 is my mobo but I can't find it on google
Also:
Uhh yeah googling that tells me that's the computers model name
Motherboard =/= entire computer

Googling:
acer aspire tc-120 is my mobo but I can't find it on google
Also:
RTK 8111GS

Yields a page with the above image, but the part number they groove can't be found anywhere else
Also this thread is the second result lol

it's likely that the motherboard was not intended to support dual-slot graphics cards
Well, considering it only has one slot......
