The best you can do is decrease the render distance, but it has a minimum of.....I don't remember what, but it's a few bricks at least

I think he means it's blocking the headers on the board for USB3.
My thoughts as well

I don't think there's a whole lot he could do.
Blame your mainboard's manufacturer.
Unless he bought a micro atx or other small form factor board, in which case it's (at least partially) his fault

My macro tubes arrived. It was a set of three different lengths, autofocus is supposed to work on any of them in any combination but it only works with the biggest one.

otherwise, considering investing in either a 50mm, 85mm, or a 17-300 something mm lens.
I'm not really interested in such ridiculous zoom ranges because it compromises too much on other factors. I have an 18-140 that works for everything I've needed, without needing to carry around the size and weight of that extra focal length I don't use. I have a 70-300 if I really need some telephoto. I also have a 35

Modification Help / Re: saving a word for a player

Wouldn't that be inefficient if thousands of people end up joining throughout the servers lifetime? Tons of words saved onto arrays, loaded each time the servers up..?
I believe it's a tradeoff between that and the clutteriness of thousands of one line files

I had a chatbot that learned from the chat. It stored it's data in the form of gigantic two-dimensional arrays, which was saved with export and loaded with exec. export yielded a couple megabyte file; a believe a few hundred thousand lines, yet the export had no noticeable effect on speed. Loading that many lines with exec was slow, a few minutes to load, but it only needed to do it once on server load. And that's with a large file, a few thousand lines shouldn't be noticeable

If you have several values per ID, I'd split it for organization purposes. But for just one, a single file is fine

According to my mom I grabbed and drank from her champagne glass once when I was like 2 or 3... That was probably my first drink

My first legal drink was sake at a Japanese steakhouse

So, you had some Jager?
This is primarily the answer
But there are other anise liquors, such as absinthe

Agreed, but I was referencing how you mentioned that it doesn't solve a heating problem when it actually does
That's not a solution, that's a workaround

if the ventilation inside the case isn't good enough then taking it off does help keep the components cooler.
Yeah but you're better off fixing the ventilation problem

with the side of my computer case off
please don't
This doesn't solve anything cooling wise and just makes it easier for dust to get in

Normally any URL with "ref=" will trigger a filter saying "Referral link detected. Kill yourself." but apparently not steam

Did some photo when in a dimly lit bowling alley on Saturday. First time using my speedlight, so it was good practice

I ordered some macro extension tubes that should arrive today, that should be fun to mess around with. Cheaper than a macro lens; hopefully the image quality isn't too much lower

Took a brief glance over journals on the subject on a few art sites
it seems like people are worried about having to "register" all their art in order for it to be protected by copyright

The problem is that the US is part of an international treaty, directly prohibiting such things:

Quote
...it introduced the concept that a copyright exists the moment a work is "fixed", rather than requiring registration...
...Copyright under the Berne Convention must be automatic; it is prohibited to require formal registration...

I believe it's just a tumblr scare
