I really loving hate how the game kicks you from matches for being inactive even when it's because you're still in a loading screen, I just got a loving exp penalty for leaving even though I was stuck in a loading screen

What's worse is when you get out of loading screen just in time to select a hero, but still get kicked for "inactivity"

why would they punish people if somebody leaves
just don't give anybody a penalty but the leaver and give the leaver a loss

Because then a team could just have one person leave and take the loss, and then everyone else can leave without taking a loss.

Sure, taking losses sucks. But the alternative is worse.

This is one reason of many that I only play ranked with a full 6 group. That fixes the problem of leavers.

started on rank 47 now at 39

stuff, lots of people leaving, or what?
One of my teammates went solo queuing a lot, and got a ton of games with leavers. Dropped from mid 50s to mid 30s

Placements put me in 50 as a support main
how trashy am i, i dont know the context to the ranks

Supports mains get ranked lower than others, because it figures stuff like damage and healing done into rating, not just whether you win or lose.
So since support do less damage (especially mercy), they get less rank. And if your team doesn't take much damage, you do less healing, and get even less rank
