Seems like a good idea to store builds and add-ons.
There are so many problems with this, that it simply will not work.
There isn't even a user friendly way to download the files.

why not just use dropbox
Dropbox disables your account if your files use too much bandwidth

I'm a level 56 tauren hunter, should I get a pet that can tank for me or one that does good dps?
Get both and switch betweeen them depending on what you're doing.
My hunter has a bear for tanking, a spider for pvp, and for PVE I use either a cat or a wolf depending on what buff the group needs. I should probably get another that has a different buff

Honestly though when I was leveling my hunter I found tanking pet a waste, they couldn't do stuff to hold aggro off of me until I got misdirect (and glyphed it) and everything died before it even got close to hitting me, so I'd much rather use a cat/wolf to get a good DPS buff. The only time I used my bear was in wrath instances when the tank was horrible and we used my bear as the tank and I spammed glyphed misdirect.

How are people supposed to view these files?
31.170.163.177 doesn't respond, and my DNS server doesn't even have an entry for blclinr121.com

If you expect people to download files through FTP then this isn't going to turn out at all.

I don't think you have any id...
it is tested by Pacnet2011 (tester).
Oh. That explains a lot.

It may be because of the non-english (You're from Israel so I'm guessing Hebrew) characters in your username, I don't believe Blockland supports them.
I know someone else had some sort of issue because of this.

Did a bit of testing, and with freshly placed, event-free blocks, onActivate was indeed called, and the last argument appeared to the the player's eye vector at the time.

After a few more quick tests, it appears that onActivate is called every time (though I may be missing an obscure corner case or two. Unlikely.), but ProcessInputEvent is only called if the block has at least one input event, which does the actual work of checking any quotas and if there even is a matching event on the block.

So, from my limited empirical evidence, onActivate is reliable regardless of what events the brick actually has.
Yeah I guess I was thinking of onPlayerTouch

I'm not positive just updating blockland will work, don't you need to completely redownload it after the v20 update?
That would completely ruin the point of the autoupdater

You're handicapped if you really think you need an "onActivate event" to make it be called.
It's generally a bad idea to call someone who's trying to help you handicapped.

Anyways, I do remember you used to need an onActivate event for the onActivate function to be called

Now I dont know if this has anything to do with RTB, but now, I can install new add-ons. I DL/saved them off the site, and they show up in my Add-ons folder, but I cant see them in the add-on section in "Start a server"

Well, how else would I keep track of growth? I'm trying to make this to the point where it can become a usefull add-on for everyone to use.
The object, not the datablock

Also, I'm sure its activate, not onActivate. This isn't events here
If you want it to do something when you click it, it's onActivate (which I believe also requires an onActivate event on the brick for it to even be called)
If you don't want it to do something when you click it, then your function name is misleading

::onPlant has two argument:, the datablock, and the individual brick
::onActivate has five arguments: the brick, the player who clicked it, the client who clicked it, the position of the brick, and some sort of vector that I'm not sure what it means

Modification Help / Re: Code line to multiply HP per player
« on: November 20, 2011, 11:01:13 AM »
You can't do it quite like that, as HP is a property of the datablock, and you'd have to give everyone a different datablock if you wanted them to have different amounts of max HP.

However you can create the illusion of higher HP by packaging the damage function to reduce the amount of damage done
Code: [Select]
package fakeMaxHP
{
    function Player::damage(this,%obj,%pos,%damage,%damageType)
    {
        %damage = %damage / (%this.fakeMaxHP / 100);
        Parent::damage(%this,%obj,%pos,%damage,%damageType);
    }
};
ActivatePackage(fakeMaxHP);
Then you just do %player.fakeMaxHP = #;

It's onActivate, not Activate

Also I believe onActivate will only be called if there is an onActivate event on the brick

Oh yeah, the launcher redownloads default files if you make changes to them

Make a separate add-on, and put this in the server.cs:

Code: [Select]
%error = ForceRequiredAddOn("Weapon_RocketLauncher");
if(%error == $Error::AddOn_NotFound)
error("ERROR: ________________ - required add-on Weapon_RocketLauncher not found");
else
RocketLauncherItem.uiName = "";
Fill in the ___________ in the error with whatever you name the folder/zip file

Then you can either enable or disable the rocket launcher, the outcome will be the same either way
