Why else would he be packaging them?
to set the variable $Minigame::Isonrightnow to 1 for create and 0 for end.

he needed to know what exactly each argument will have in it
Sure, knowing what the arguments mean matters, but what mp said was that the names matter

Does anyone else see the dirt cloud from where the bullet actually hit, some 20-30 feet away from the target he claims he hit?

Modification Help / Re: Editing MaxHealth through Client

Using different datablocks is a bad idea if you want to have a lot of levels, as you'd need to create a lot of datablocks

I recommend something like this

Code: [Select]
package fakeMaxHP
{
    function Player::damage(this,%obj,%pos,%damage,%damageType)
    {
        %damage = %damage / (%this.client.fakeMaxHP / 100);
        Parent::damage(%this,%obj,%pos,%damage,%damageType);
    }
};
ActivatePackage(fakeMaxHP);

You can easily and quickly figure these things out yourself.

1. trace(1); in console.
2. Call the commands normally
3. trace(0);
4. Find the function calls, or close blockland, open console.log, and ctrl f search "serverCmdCreateMinigame/EndMinigame"

For something simple like this, it's not absolutely necessary to know what each arguments represents, so you can just name them %a,%b,%c, etc, with the same number of arguments as listed by trace

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Raise the Projectile Speed Limit!

I'm not sure the exact reason for this, but I do know that the limit wasn't there until several versions after release, and Badspot intended for it to be there.

If you have good people on your server, it will be no worse than the default ski tumble
If you tell a server full of idiots "HEY PRESS /TUMBLE TO FALL" and they spam it, it would be worse

You're only 14, whatever choice you make now is very likely to change by the time you go to college.

For the purpose of this assignment, just choose some random thing that you wouldn't mind doing.

Check $Pref::Server::AutoAdminList and $Pref::Server::AutoSuperAdminList?

Can be done easily, but it would need both a client-side add-on for the keybind and a serverside add-on for the tumbling, so it would only work in your own server (or the server of other people who have it)

Also, i'm looking in the price range between $300-$500
That's not going to get you much for a laptop.

Specifically why do you want a laptop?

Modification Help / Re: Charging a projectile + Detecting water
« on: September 28, 2011, 12:41:22 PM »
They must have. You can make the projectile emitter, explosion and light different when it is underwater.
I tested it and it works in Blockland.
Yeah sure, but is there any script callback for water entry?

It would need to be a big animation of it flying out and coming back with a separate projectile that fires out as far the the animation goes.

Only thing is if you moved during this animation all hell would break loose. There would need to be an anti movement code in effect to keep you still while the animation is in effect.
You just have it fire a normal projectile, but at the end of its path you continuously set the projectile's velocity to match the direction between it and the player.
Only problem then is collision between walls in tight builds

Help / Re: Dedicated Server
« on: September 27, 2011, 05:49:53 PM »
If you set up port forwarding but didn't set up a static IP, it's likely that your computer's IP changed.
If this is the case, just change the port forwarding settings to match your computer's new IP.

Also try entering WebCom_PostServer(); in the console

Also, this
Quote
Authentication FAILED: Connection failure.
I'm not sure what to suggest to fix this, if this keeps happening.

No didn't work but I realized that both of the dedicated server starters start LAN both of them.
The internet dedicated will still show up in LAN because the server is on your LAN

I never understood CCa's gates, I don't know if I connected them incorrectly, but the logic seemed way off.
