If you search all files in the add-on for the words 'package' 'function' and 'datablock' you could get the names and deactivate/overwrite/delete them. That part is easy. The hard part is if the add-on uses those words in any place other than package, function, and datablock definitions.

Only issues I see is with functions that the add-on completely rewrites, instead of just packaging, as well as weapons/vehicles/lights/emitters/ still being in the list, although I think those lists could just be resent.

Depends on what exactly is meant by 'hacking'

Most of the time when people claim they saw a hacker, it's something along the lines of "omg someone came to my server and got admin and banned everyone!" or "i banned someone and he kept coming back!" This sort of 'hacking' is not possible. Everytime someone claims something like this, it always turn out to be either an add-on with a backdoor exploit, an admin messing around, or simply a lie for attention.

These cracked-DRM games still can not be played on multiplayer, and if they can its usually only on cracked servers. Bypassing the demo brick limit has been done many times.

there is probably a way to hack Blockland with reverse engineering and memory editing.

Maybe, but the number of people who have the knowledge/desire to do this is very small. Even if someone did it, very little could actually be done with it.

There's no reason to not get Windows 7, especially for gaming.
XP doesn't support the newer versions of DirectX (I think 10 and up)

Do this on both computers:
Go to config/client/prefs-trustList.txt
and put in the following on one computer:

Code: [Select]

BL ID	2	Katadeus

and put the following on the other computer:

Code: [Select]

BL ID	2	Feral

This should make both accounts have eachother's trust.

This only works if both IDs join the server.

My suggestion would be to just use the same ID on both computers, I don't see why you wouldn't.

This add-on contains a few errors that I found easily by reading the script. This makes me believe that the add-on was barely tested, if at all.

The DogTick function contains typos in the dog variable name. If the dog is starving or dies of starvation, the message notifying you will have a blank space where the dog's name should be. Of course, the dog will never starve, as the DogTick function never runs.
It also contains an entirely pointless function, DogDoTickLoop, which is also never ran.

I think Badspot should add Recommend Specs to the system requirements page. The problem there is choosing what would be recommended, since it varies so much between servers.

Type '/ping' to display your own ping, '/ping <name>' to display <names>'s ping, super admin can type '/ping all' to display everyone's ping to everyone. I had to change a few things that were badly done and I can't test the changes right now, so let me know if something doesn't work.

I have a /ping command add-on, that depending on what you give as arguments, you can either check your own ping, check another players ping, or admins can display a list of of everyone's ping to the server.

As for OP's suggestions, I don't believe there is a way for the server to get any of the required information from the client, so a server-side add-on wouldn't work.
As for a client-side add-on (if you can even get them to download it, you're better of just having them type 'metrics(fps);' in the console and tell them to look at a large group of bricks and see what their fps is) I'm not sure if there is a default way to get their video card information. As for an FPS estimate, they're a lot more to it than brick/light/poly count (the latter of which I'm not sure you can calculate)
