Modification Help / Weapon_GasCan

I know I'm late, but I decided to actually see why Rotondo did not execute the GasCan item in Gamemode_Zombie. Apparently it does the same explosion as the Propane Tank, so until he changes that it was not meant to be executed. Here is the code:

What I do not understand is why when I do shoot it, there is no fire, and it does not spawn an emitter on the ground to continuously hurt players/bots that touch it, like in the Molotov roostertail.

Off Topic / IPv4 Changes Randomly

I was hosting a server today when my friend said he could not connect to it over IRC, strangly others were connect, it will see strange nce I get further into the problem. I opened up command prompt, typed in ipconfig, and hit enter. I had forwarded my ports to 192.168.1.100, but today my IPv4 had changed to 192.168.1.103 on it's own :/ I checked recently right now and it has changed again to 192.168.1.102(preferred). Any idea what could be causing this, or is it normal to do this?

Help / "Locked" Server

Ok, I tried re-installing Blockland for this, rebooting my router, and stopped launching Blockand through Steam, nothing seems to work. When I host with UPnP (same goes for with forwarded ports) only one person is able to join, then no one else is able to. Example:

Or say Blockhead1500 stays, no one else is able to join after one person enters the server, wether they stay or leave. I have the player limit at 8 so more than two people should be able to join. How can I fix this?

Suggestions & Requests / Petrol Vehicle Script

I've been thinking about this lately, it seems good but could also be a stupid idea. But what about a gas script for vehicles? Say you're in a Jeep and at first the gas is at 100%, you drive for a few minutes and the gas reaches about 10%. So you find a gas brick (it could be a plate or something) and fill up on gas to continue your journey. If your gas reaches 0% the vehicle would stop movement. Diffrent vehicles would have longer periods of gas though for example, a plane would not have the same amount of gas as a Jeep. Also, a variable could be added to a vehicle's script to be compatible with the gas script on how much gas it is able to hold.

Help / Port Forward with Linksys WRT160N

Does anyone have a Linksys WRT160N Router? I used to be able to port forward and host without UPnP but with this new router Port Forwarding is confusing. There are two Port Forwarding tabs and neither seem to work. Do I also need to disable SPI Firewall and Filter Anonymous Internet Requests? I also read somewhere that I need to set up a DHCP reservation to Port Forward for this router, so does anyone have this router and can host correctly with it please help me with Port Forwarding on this?

Help / Two Portforwardng Tabs

I've recently searched on the forums about this but no help. I have a Linksys WRT160N Router and I have no clue how to Port Forward on it. There are two seperate Port Forwarding Tabs but neither work, and I have no clue which one I am supposed to use. I even tried using just UPnP and not even that would let people join my server, with my new router I can no longer can host. Can anyone help me on this?

Add-Ons / Fake Admin Command

This is my first script, so it is not very advanced, it is very simple. It is just for a few laughs. You can simply use the command /fakeadmin [name] (Without brackets) to display the [Name] has become Super Admin (Auto) message, it will also play the sound you hear when someone becomes (Super)Admin. This does not actually make them Super Admin, it just displays the message to make them think they have become Super Admin, until they check the player list or try accessing the Admin Control Panel. This actually originated from a console command but I decided to turn it into a chat command for players who have no clue how to use the console or know any commands in it. I give credit to Amade and Kalphiter for helping me fix some things in the script and changing a line of code for a diffrent isAdmin True variable and closing brackets. Thanks again guys and hope you like this.

EDIT: This is admin only (of course). We don't want random players granting fake admin to people do we?

Off Topic / Graphics Card for Laptop?

Yes, I know I have a similar topic like this, but this one is for my Laptop. I am currently wondering if it would be possible to get a NVidia 6600 for it. My laptop is a HP G71 Notebook PC Model. This is to see if I am able to run Left4Dead. I went on "CAN YOU RUN IT?" and it says my Processor:

Help / Over Max Players?

Ok probally alot of people have noticed this, and I ave becuase I know how to do so.  Ok so I have my Left 4 Block server and only allow 4 people to join.  But then there is always that FIFTH person able to join out of four.  I've seen in some servers that they have a mod that kicks the player that goes over the limit by saying there were not enough mini-game slots.  I can't seem to find this mod, was it fail binned? Now I knwo how people are doing this since I have done the same.  You look at the server info with RTB and click join and you go over the player limit.  Will disabling RTB stop people from joining my server and go over my allowed player limit?  How can I fix this or find the mod?

I have made a server for a survival RP. I know there is a mod coming out but no-one really knows when.For know I have built a SurvivalRP with events.

I will post pics of some scenes in gameplay and what it's about.Also I will state some rules.

Fire



Ok now currently there is no mod for body temperature where you can toggle it and you need to place down heat bricks to recharge you warmth. But, I have done this with events (with some help from Phflack). Ok now when you spawn you will have the survivor over-the-shoulder-veiw (since the horses are actually using a zombie bot just a diffrent datablock) but now due to a glitch with the new fire events it will go to your normal veiw. (Pretty awesome glitch if you ask me) Now instead of -5 Health every 30seconds it'sseprate from that. Every 5 seconds you lose 1 "Heat" point.Once it reaches 0 you die. Also now the fires are ona baseplate which adds "Heat" points, to your heat.This way players can't cheat by running to a fire and healing if they were shot on enemy Alliance terrortory.

Material




Now we all know about the Blockcity Mod how it has Trees and Metals already but those give you Bricks. Not what you're chopping down or mining. Now also with events I have made trees and ores. Now the trees it take about 10 clicks to cut them down(hopefully will be diffrent once I download some more add-ons like an Axe or Pick-Axe).Now there are Three diffrent types of Trees: Dead tree,Snowy Tree and a Pine tree. Now Dead trees only give you one log of wood while snowy and pine trees give you 2 and 3 logs. Also I have placed with events "Snow","Iron" and "Steel" Bricks.Now when you click the snow you "brush it off" then you have you're Iron or Steel. Easily you just have to click on them continuasly until you mine them.

Supplies



Now supplies. At default Camp Fires you can find these Bricks. They look like a normal 1x1 brick and a 1x1 Print "?" Brick. Now the normal ones are the ones that give you supplies. Now each one is a diffrent color depending on what material you make out of them: Wood,Iron or Steel. Now for wood you can make A Spear and a Bow. Spears take 40 Tree Logs while Bows take 60. Iron is used to make higher and more advanced weapons like the Gun and Sword. The gun takes 50 Iron ores and the Sword takes 30. Now steel...This is a whole diffrent subject. Now Steel you make "vehicles out of". Currently you can only make Skis to travel around. Soon I will event some vehicle spawns so you can make a Jeep.

Food



Oh thank you Hunger Mod! Now with the Hunger mod you have to hunt your food...Horses. Luckily there are zombie spawns near lakes...Wait zombies? Yes that's right Zombie Spawns. Now you're probbally thinking I am using a zombie extension mod and using horse zombies.Well no.I'm not.These are your plain average horse.I just used zombie spawn so when the Bot touches the spawn it changes their datablock to a roaming horse.(This explains why you have to be a Survivor Player-Type in the Mini.Well you are in a SURVIVAL Role-Play.) Now first you need supplies.Get this first by cutting down trees or mining ores.Once you have done that go to your camp site and make some weapons!.Now all you need to do is kill some horses and pack your food!

Saving/Loading Items


Yes! It's finally here! Hate having to chop down 50 trees, mine 60 Iron Ores and doing all that work over and over again every time you leave the server? Well you don't have to anymore! Now once you do all that work and get your hard earned weapons and supplies you can just travel back to your camp site and save it all. Just walk over to your supplies bag and click the "S" button to save and the "L" button to load your items!

Role Playing

Now THIS. Is important! Now this is a Role-Play right? Yes. So you need to Role-Play. Now first things first.Dress like you are Role-Playing.Wear some winter clothing, or some winter Hats. Also you must wear the Backpack.This is need to "carry" your supplies and material.Now secondly there is no chat-RP.If there ever is a chat-RP script where you can only talk/hear players near you I will use this.For now to speak IN character use default chat.To speak OUT of character use Team chat.

Alliances

Well this makes sense.Okay the max player limit is 9.Why? Because there are up to Three Alliances.Three Players max to an Alliance.Why three? I don't know, I just like that number.Alliances aren't a big thing just friends you can team up with and maybe hunt and kill some Enemy Alliances.But this isn't a Death-Match so try to keep the killing to a Minimum. In the future when more people begin to come to the server I will fix up the server by changing it from Death-Match to to  Team Death-Match. I'm not saying go to other teams and kill them, I'm saying Alliances will be formed Automaticly. There will be friendly fire and you can now actually have a war with another Alliance.(Keeping it minimum though) Now with team chat you will talk to your team only.The downside is that you will have no Out-Of-Character chat. If anyone has any idea or has a script for a RP chat where only people near see your text and you can get radios to talk globally and maybe another system where it's seperate from thos and tells people somehow that you are talking Out-Of-Character. Maybe like putting OOC next to their name in the chat.(Iceblue I'm waiting...)

Rules
Ok there aren't ALOT of rules.Just a few simple ones.
1.Don't ask for admin.If you don't ask I trust you or see that you are a good player I will make you admin.
2.DO NOT build ON or NEAR the Noob Spawn.There is where you first spawn. Just build at the default campsites so you can also warm up at the fire there.
3.DO NOT spawn Weapons.Now I don't even think this will be possible since you won't even be allowed to get a wrench. But if you do and begin to cheat you will be BANNED.
4.Remember to Role-Play.

Ok so I want to make a survivalRP (since a mod hasn't been made yet) and want to make heat events.Now what I want to do is make the spawn point No Rending or Ray casting but collision.Now what I want to do is onPlayerTouch>player>fireRelay.Then on the next event a delay of like 3 minutes and onRelay>player>addHealth>-10.On next event delay 3minutes onRelay>client>centerPrint>You're body temperature lowered.So that it's as if you got cold and then a fire which adds health when you get near it there are invisible bricks that "warm you up"But there is no fireRelay for the player object. How can I get around this?
