oh, I found a planetside clone made by chinese people with rather horrid english translations, but you might want to try it anyway, since it's actually an MMOFPS, as in massively multiplayer.
There's another PlanetSide clone called Welkin 4591

Used jumpjets to vault my mech at 300 KPH over a hill, but my legs skimmed the top of the hill. I lost control of it as it started to tumble at 300kph towards the hard packed sand below. My legs smashed into the ground and instantly snapped, then my torso whacked into the ground. Fusion reactor exploded and sent hot plasma through the roosterpit.

My antivirus is not being a dumbass and downloading illegal stuff or opening stupid spam emails.

Hooray for the power of not being stupid.
I've gotten virus alerts from BitDefender / Avast from sites I visit daily, as sometimes they have infected ads or the server gets hacked.

Should I get Tribes 2 or Mechwarrior Living Legends. I've had my eye on both for a while but never bothered to download either.
Uh, both? Unless you have bandwidth restrictions, then get Tribes.

probably because it's a multiplayer centric game, genius.
Previous Starsiege games were offline centric.

bit defender for both of mine seeing as you can just share one code for multiple devices.
bit defender constantly used 100% of my system resources on my laptop so i uninstalled it. it took at least 5 minutes from start up till i could actually run programs

Newcigarette to Minecraft here: I keep finding these box rooms with a flaming spider spinning in a cage in the center and some boxes with stuff in them on the walls. What's with this? :|
dungeon
dont destroy the spawner. just wall in the room and mark the spot where you found it, so later you can make a trap to get infinite string

I can't find any squid.

forget Notch. :D
Never found a squid or jellies :c

squid are found in large lakes or seas. turn off music and get on a boat, then sail around. listen for the sound of footsteps on sand or dirt, then go down and search for the squid.

squid usually spawn in water at least 5 blocks deep

I want a futuristic shooter, but I cant take scary stuff, so none of that, and I hope for some vehicles and online battles, heavy character customization, and i dont want turn based. It has to be free, I dont mind premium item shop, as long as all maps and game areas are available for free. Also a good amount of effort to be put into character development...

GOGO!

Planetside:Aftershock
+Futuristic
+Vehicles
+333 player battles
-Small amounts of visual customization
-Not free
-Dying

Tribes 2 (Tribes Next)
+Futuristic
+Vehicles
+64 player battles
+Vehicles
+Free
-Joke plot, it's basically a training mission.
also it uses an older version of the engine Blockland runs on

MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries
+Futuristic
+You control a 55 foot tall walking tank
+32 player battles
+Free
+Lots of customization
-Simulator. Lots of controls.
-Complex
-Not much character development, but it has a so-so plot.

MechWarrior Living Legends
+Futuristic
+You control a 55 foot tall walking tank, tanks, jet fighters, helicopters, powered armor
+Moderate amounts of customization
+32 player battles
-Online only
-Simulator. Lots of controls
-No in-game plot
-Requires Crysis
-Needs a very powerful computer to run

Assault Tech 1: Battletech
+Futuristic
+You control a 55 foot tall walking tank
+Tons of customization
+Runs on most PCs
-(currently) offline only
-No plot
-Simulator. Complex controls.

Eternal Silence (HL2 mod)
+Futuristic
+Infantry combat inside capital ships, with fighters and transports duking it outside.
+SPACE!
-No plot
-No customization
-Requires HL2
-Not that many players
