Off Topic / My apologies to the community [Rant?]
« on: July 14, 2013, 06:52:05 PM »
Alright I guess it's about time for this.

I'm sure most of the people here know me from my past or from this account.  I've had plenty of previous accounts here on the forums; colonial killer, [JazZ], Fission, Yola, Yenola, etc).  These have all been banned (excluding this one) for their own reasons whether I agree with them or not.

I know I have a reputation of being a troll or an starfish here, and honestly, I'm ready to try to rebuild my reputation here.  I understand not everyone here is willing to forgive or forget what I've done, but I'm asking you to let me prove that I can act in a different manner.  I've been a part of this community on and off for the past four years, and I honestly don't know where I'd be without some of you guys who've had an impact on my life.  I guess now is my time to start giving back to you all.

I'm sorry if any posts here on out are in any way condescending or just being an starfish, that's not my intentions in any way.  I also apologize for my past mistakes and hope that we can move on.

I skimmed Yenola's posts and I'm laughing my ass off.
He's talking about moving out and paying his own bills when we all know he's still living comfortably at home. Rofl.

I tried to find the quote, but I said "for a few months", I moved back in with my grandparents, I still work though.
My friends couldn't hold up their side of the rent and so we all moved back home.

They are +x harder than normal red ones
This can't be true.

I took an entire blue +1 dungeon on by myself but a red dungeon will 1hit about every 4 seconds

- I'm "ungrateful" <- Many times in this thread, I have expressed that I do appreciate my parents and the things they do for me and that this is only a minor issue. I'm ranting about the issue. Not my parents as a whole.

- My parents "own" me <- Legally, not morally. Stop trying to make this point.

- I want to move out because of my parents trying to limit the internet <- Holy forget, since when did I say in the OP "I want to move out of my house because my parents turn off the internet at night!" The topic of the thread was a bad way of expressing my current mood and now I loving regret making that title because of how many of you misinterpreted it.

- You don't have rights as a minor!!!!1!1 <- If I really wanted to, I could call the CPS and be freed of my parents; I do have some rights. But there is no abuse going on so why would I need to do that? I love my parents. I just don't love their decisions sometimes.

And that's all I can think of at the moment. lol

I'll address each of these points as nicely as possible.

-I never said you were ungrateful as a whole (if I did, I apologize), you're ungrateful in the sense of you don't realize that it is your parents internet, not yours

-Your parents do own you, legally and morally, this is something you need to come to terms with. They are your authority in a different sense than police, they own you.

-Considering you provided nooo other explanations about why you want to move out, of course people think that.

-You have minimal rights as a minor, CPS will only remove you if you have valid reasons, and usually they'll just laugh in your face.  Trust me, I've tried before.

If you choose to disagree with any of those, that's fine, let's simply agree to disagree and leave it at that.

Try posting something that doesn't result in a argument?
Also, fairly nice? Sure doesn't seem like it, your nice sure doesn't seem too nice.

I never said we weren't either, we just aren't 24/7 starfishs to the forums.
You know that I help people too right?  Whether it's in the computer megathread, computer threads, coding help, whenever I help, I do.  I still mod for the community as well.

Just because I disagree doesn't mean I'm trying to be an starfish

Where is your child in this?
Is this genuine or are you attempting to make a sadistic joke?

WE are starfishs? My hypocrite detector just went off the charts.
The only reason that we are like this towards you is because you tend to come off as a total starfish without a good reason.

Anytime I post one of you decides to either attack or annoy me with irrelevant stuff, you guys constantly call me an starfish when in reality I am fairly nice, and you all act as though I'm a worthless piece of stuff.

No wonder I consider you guys starfishs, I never said I don't act as one myself

no, it's because of how you disagree, such as
Oh sorry I didn't know sarcasm was being condescending

you love to just turn threads onto you dont you lol
No, but when I post, you guys do.

You were acting like he was getting everything handed over to him.
Why don't you try being reasonable and show a little more respect to people online as well? Try to prove that you aren't a total richard all the time.
Don't pull the "hur hur who shows internet respect" card, seriously.
No I was disagreeing that it's something most minors don't do, and providing examples.

And I don't want to, you guys are total starfishs, I don't respect people out in the real world who act like you guys do, and I have no reason to respect any of you either.

Do it.
I want to but if everything falls through and I forget up, I'm held liable.

If the model of your card is an open card, you can use heat sinks or a simple fan, also try moving your GPU to a further away PCI slot if you have an extra one.

I'm pretty sure that Moonstar said the same thing as you.
He's getting his own car, not getting one from his parents.

Also, your disrespect and negativity towards people is a good part of how elders view us.
I was pointing out the fact he said "something most minors don't do" bud, learn to comprehend next time, that's why it was bolded.

Not to mention his arrogance, condescending attitude, general air of presumed superiority and his prideful behavior. More like he's the reason elder generations hate us.
So because I disagree, I'm being arrogant and condescending?  I have full and total respect for my elders and I've never once had a problem with any reasonable adult.  But I mean you guys know me very well, so you must be right.  Thank you for pointing that out, I'll get right on it

Off Topic / My boss made me an offer yesterday
« on: July 14, 2013, 01:52:09 PM »
So recently I've been attending a career center for my high school diploma, doing online classes for my bachelor degree and computer certifications.  I've been doing all this because I want to go into the computer based fields, and I work at a local computer store.  I've worked there probably a year and a half now and I've mostly decided I want to own one of the three shops as a career, and maybe expand that.  The only problem being buying part of a business isn't cheap at all, and working as manager making $17.25/hr isn't nearly enough to afford that after 5 years of actively saving every penny.

Me and my boss have become really close over the year and a half, he's a really cool guy and we usually just chat about the computer world whenever we're in the shop together.  Well yesterday he stopped me and we went to his office and whatnot, I thought I was in trouble but he actually made an offer that after I finish all my schooling he'd be willing to hand over one of the shops to me for a year and see how I manage, and if he finds it to be adequate, after the year he'll give me a price and I can either accept it and pay it off as I can or I can continue as a manager there.

Not really sure what to say about it, I don't have a degree in business or anything so I'm not entirely sure what I'll do

What do you guys think I should do?

What do you think I have a job for? Saving up for a car and finishing school? I'm preparing. Something that most minors don't do at my age.
I really was going to leave this thread until I saw this.

That right there is both an insult to your own generation, and a load of bullstuff.  Almost every friend I have, every kid I know, had to earn their car.  Mommy and daddy didn't go buy them a new Bently, they worked all summer to afford a toyota Camry.  Finishing school?  Really? God I bet like 75% of students don't do that!  That's so hard and irregular!

forgets sake you've got the most twisted sense of reality and priorities I've ever seen, you're literally the reason the elder generation dislikes us.

this has been bothering me

I know the color of the names is how hard the monster is to beat, but what does +1, +2 mean ?
