I recently just bought another Blockland through Steam for absolutely no reason. How do Steam users find their key so they can create a forums account?

General Discussion / UltraDM - Blocklands New Deathmatching Experience

UltraDM is a new way of playing Blockland death matches. Out of much observing it is obvious that death matches and team death matches in Blockland can get very, very repetitive and lack good, fast gameplay. That is what UltraDM is here to fix. UltraDM was created by Unvanquished and Aplem in an effort to make death matching more enjoyable in Blockland. UltraDM tries to make gameplay focus on a fast, unique and fun experience.



Features of UltraDM :
- Map Rotation (Currently 3 Maps)
- Weapon Purchasing System
- Fast Gameplay
- Sprinting and Healing Playertype



Now the whole build is set inside of a darker theme, the pictures were lightened up for some better viewing of the builds. We also left out a-lot of images of the rest of the builds themselves. For that you will have to join and experience it yourself. Aplem is hard at work on a gamemode for this whole thing. The gamemode will make it a-lot more simple to setup and a-lot more simple to run. It will also verify the official UltraDM in case somebody decides to try and steal the build and host it for themselves.

UltraDM is also a 24/7 dedicated server ran off of RTB Dedicated Hosting Service. We might actually be putting up a second server of this build because we are only allowing 20 players in the server at once to play this. You may ask why? Mainly because we think that having 99 slots open on a server is just pointless and overkill unless you are hosting the New Years Party, BlockoCon or something else big. Plus who would want a swarm of 99 players just going all out and killing eachother? 20 if appropriate and fair for these builds.

Currently we have only three maps those maps are :
- The Tower
- The Garage
- The City

Each of these maps are unique in their own ways. Just check out some little teaser images :








Now as some of you may assume, the tower may look like it was stolen. We can promise you that it was built by our own hands and there are several differences between this and Muffin Mix's or whoever else's build was what.

Modification Help / Adding Events To A Gamemode

Hello there fellow Blocklanders.

So Aplem and I are working on a script for a gamemode and we encountered a problem, when we put ADDON Event_Variables or any other event, it will not load into the game and if it does, it doesn't work. Can someone shed some light onto this problem?

We are a clan that you would consider to be the fun guys. We enjoy building and at the same time, we enjoy messing around. We believe that sometimes you just need to take the pirates way of freedom and express it. That is why this clan was created. When we are working on a project we build for a little bit and then decide to mess around for a little bit too! It keeps you wanting to play and work at the same time. Projects will be a very large thing to us, but ye have been warned. We swap our projects around depending on how the server list is looking. So, one day we might be working on a TDM and then the next a horror game and then the next an RP! It all depends on how the Blockland server list is looking. The clan was also created in turn of being very lenient on applications. It will be a medium difficulty to get in while at the same time being very easy to get in.

We chose this to be our clan theme song.

Our clan does a-lot of things. We build, we model, we script and we event. This is no set type of clan, we accept all types of applications and all types of building styles. We try to focus on making sure our 24/7 dedicated server is always chalk-full of fun. We may have arcades, TDM, RP, Horror Games, Falling Tiles, Rocket DM, Sniper Wars, Survival, Pirate DM, Pirate, Pirate, Pirate yarrhararhdayr and a few other "secret" ideas which we will be working on soon. What our clan also tries to do is have a custom weaponset or itemset for each game we do. We will be working on our own addons to better fit our server. Some of those addons will be released and some may not.

Applying to the Blockland Pirates is very easy. Just follow the below instructions for whatever you are applying to be part of! Remember to read each section carefully so you know exactly what needs to be done. We are very lenient with applications and realize that everyone has a different style of doing things. We do take that into consideration with the applications.

  • Builder : You must build something with a minimum of 1,500 bricks. If it is a building it must have windows, a general shape to it and a nice color to it. This can be anything ranging from terrain, to a house to a city corner or a cafe. It can be a big ass truck, plane or anything else your mind will wander to. You could even build a giant whale if you wanted to! After this is done create a topic in Gallery titled : [BP] Application - [appnamehere]. Then post a link to it in this clan page.
  • Eventer : You must event two contraptions of your choice. Each contraption has to have a minimum of 30 events on it. This can be a VCE shop system, an autoturret or whatever else you can dream up. After this is done create a topic in Gallery titled : [BP] Application - [appnamehere]. Then post a link to it in this clan page.
  • Modeler : You must model at least two different items for this game. It does not have to be scripted but it needs to be good looking. It also needs to follow a blocko look. That means low-poly and cylinders. Animations are a plus. This model can be a playertype, a weapon, a car or whatever else you think would look lovey in Blockland. After this is done create a topic in Creativity titled : [BP] Application - [appnamehere]. If you do make animations you can post a video link in the application topic. Then post a link to the app in this clan page.
  • Scripter : You must make a minimum of one script that will server a useful purpose in the game. There is no set amount of lines that you must have but like said, it needs to show a useful purpose in the game. This can be something as simple as an item loading script, a shop system or whatever else. After this is done create a topic in Creativity or Modification Discussion titled : [BP] Application - [appnamehere]. Then post a link to it in this clan page. Make sure to make a video showing what the script does and how it functions!

Right below here will be all of our current projects. Like stated above, the project we are currently working on will vary depending on what we feel Blockland needs. Check back here to see what we are working on at the moment and when the server will be open to work on it. Also here is our server status in case you want to know if it is ever offline.


Current Project : UltraDM

Tired of the same old repetitive Deathmatch that stays on the whole map the same time? Tired of not really having a purpose to play a Deathmatch? Well we pirates have the deal of your life! The UltraDM is a new aspect of Blockland Deathmatching. It will be a point based DM where players will be able to buy better weapons in a "safe" room where the players can't hurt each other. We will be using our own custom gamemode called UltraDM (Courtesy of Aplem for that) and with this gamemode it will consist of map rotation between five different builds made by the Blockland Pirates. Each build is meant for 20 - 25 players and has randomized deploying points for when a player decides to hop into the arena! UltraDM uses a playertype that can sprint and recover health after not being hurt for a certain amount of time. We also have certain power-ups that will allow you to get a boost of height, boost of speed or armor during the battle! Makes it good for a quick escape! The whole idea of UltraDM is for a fast-paced non-repetitive Deathmatch that is actually fun!

In order for a player to win the round/game they must have the most points at the end of the 20 minute time limit. Once a player wins they get bragging rights and will be able to give Kompressor a hand job. Once the round is over, players points get set back and with that their weapons. But don't worry about that! Weapons are fairly easy to unlock. The first weapon you can buy will only require three kills!

Castle Siege - Progress Halted

This project will be focused on a very large castle. For those of you who have played Chivalry : Medieval Warfare it will be somewhat like those castles. The map will be very interactive with build-able catapults, ballistas, ladders and much more. There will be two teams; team one will be the attackers (raiders) and team two will be the defenders (knights/guards). We are also going to be using a custom weaponset for this game. Courtesy to Aplem and Mr. Nobody for the weaponset.

The attackers will be able to build ladders, catapults and upgrade their weapons. They will have the goal of breaching the castle walls and getting inside. While inside they must fight off all the guards and make their way to the main hall of the castle. There they will then have to capture a point to win the game.

The defenders will be able to upgrade and repair the castle. They will be able to use ballistas (gigantic ass crossbows), boiling tar and be able to knock down ladders that the attackers put up. All their goal is, is to defend the castle. Shouldn't be to difficult considering they will have the uphill advantage.

More on the siege :
The catapults will be reusable but have a very large wait time on them. Players must twist the wheel until the catapult is locked into position and ready to fire again. The catapult will be able to break down large chunks of the castle wall making it easier for players to breach. The ballistas will be the same way except they will have about half the reload time of the catapult and a much farther range. Players will be able to get points to go towards the catapults/repairs/ballistas/ladders by getting kills. So the begging of the round will be sort of slow until players get those points. The bright side is, that purchasing said objects will be a team effort thanks to the magic of VCE.
