Even though he does belittle my false franchises for no apparent reason other then two people's avatars containing brony-related images.

Most solutions to these types of problems is: Placebo Effect
The basic concept of the Placebo effect is that if you believe something is true, your mind will convince you that it is even if it isn't.

Other than that, it could be an entire family related conspiracy against you.
