Off Topic / Re: Whats your favorite 80's movie?
« on: February 24, 2010, 08:44:44 PM »
This is now my favorite thread ever.

So many movies....but among a few of them The Wizard with Ben Savage. Movie was a big advertisement for Super Mario Brothers 3. Yeah, that old. Others are Tron, The Last Starfighter, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Back to the Future, Cherry 2000 to name a couple.

"i'm going to stealer that?"

not seeing the verbage. i am really tired though maybe that's it.
You forgot to conjugate it. the proper grammatical usage is "to steal" That is a verb, or an action.

It irritates me to no end when you kids use stealer. that is a verb, not a noun. Use the term Thief from now on. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go back to my encyclopedias and chant "Heil Britannica!" over and over. /:-|

To have any amount of correct change in any currency appear in my pockets when I need to.

Or to be able to shapeshift.

Evolutionist: "Who created Earth?"

Creationist: "God created Earth."

Evolutionist: "Who created God?"

Creationist: "He always existed before."

Evolutionist: "Can we create something from nothing? I don't think so. Now tell me again, how was or who created god?"

Creationist: "I already told you, he always existed before!"

The Earth didn't always exist. Before the Earth there was nothing in it's place. The Earth was created from asteroids crashing together. In effect, the Earth was technically created from nothing.

God may or may not have been dreamed up by man. Can we prove he exists? Not to the point any Atheist would care to accept. But how would Mayans and a lot of ancient cultures have drawings depicting people in what appear to be spacecraft? People back in those times could possibly view an alien as a god like being, after all, they came from the "heavens." Is there evidence that there was some kind of divine intervention with humanity? Must be. Only one species out of millions suddenly gained sentience, self awareness, and the ability to generate vast cultures all whom disagree with each other in a matter of millennium. Far faster than normal evolution would dictate.

Lastly, the Big Bang was created from nothing. Or at least 99.99999999999999999999999999 99999999999999999999999999% of the known universe supposedly came from nothing after an explosion from an object the size of an atom. Science says this is accepted THEORY. Yet you all cling to it as if it's exactly what happened as if you were there last week watching the fireworks like the 4th of July. Point is, you can't say either is 100% true because short of inventing a time machine, we will NEVER know. Granted, I do think a giant explosion is a bit more likely than some guy mucking about in nothingness, getting bored and inventing a paper bag and popping it creating the universe.

Also Yummerz, God created humanity in his image, not the other way around. We may look like what he thinks we should look like, but he was smart enough not to make an exact copy otherwise humanity would have gone nowhere and we wouldn't be here to argue about it. It'd just be God Adam and Eve...and a bunch of silly animals.

GOD DID NOT WRITE THE BIBLE
I agree. Flawed opinionated and objectified primitive knuckle-dragging humans wrote it. But only based on the word of God.

but wouldn't men being more effeminate mean that society is evolving, and they dont have to play the same accepted character, just to be allowed jobs, education, friends, acceptance from god?

we would first have to fact if being effeminate is bad, before we worry about discovering why.
A lot of people have been using the excuse of Human nature and basic instinct to explain why they cheat on their spouses, go out to clubs til all hours of the night and many other such excuses to excuse themselves from moral and ethical behaviors and that's considered evolution? Sounds like we're dragging ourselves back to the stone age.

all fetuses are infused with craploads of estrogen, that would make all guys gay if estrogen could even affect dna during conception.
plus your implying gay people didn't exist before 1965 (birth control pill)
Gay people existed before Birth Control, but the fact I made is that males are becoming sterile from the advent of the estrogen passed by women on Birth control has lowered men's semen count. It's been scientifically verified. Women only ingest about 20% of the chemicals in the pills they take and the rest is pissed back into our water. Our water contains estrogen in large quantities that we can not filter out at facilities. It's also shown that men are becoming more effeminate and the advent of Metroloveuality should be a dead giveaway. Males who try to be as pretty as possible with cosmetics and surgery and fashionable clothing without really admitting to being gay. Some call them emo, gay, or other such stereotypical labels. Sounds like males are becoming women in not so subtle doses. Have you noticed women are becoming more aggressive like males normally are attributed to? It's looking like a total gender reversal here. But women aren't really becoming too tomboyish as fast as males are dressing up and becoming fashion savvy. Don't tell me you're completely missing this.

Nope, this is false, these are just scientists trying to get some money, (LIKE ALWAYS!) there's only one GOD, no human can become GOD. This is false, GET OVER IT.
You never went too deep into the original Mormon faith have you? They had a belief pre-US movement that if you lived a good enough life you got to become the god of your own world. That and you could have more than one wife. :D

2757
It's the additional content of Estrogen passed by women on Birth control in our water systems that is causing this. People like to think it's a choice, but if there isn't a way to filter this out, the male population may very well become sterile within the next 100 years and every man will eventually be gay. Males will die out as women get tired of not getting any attention from them and cloning will go forward to create a planet of lesbians.

Okay, the last sentence is more of a fantasy, but the rest is more or less true. Look it up.

I'm a story guy. Single player or co-op missions kinda guy. With each successive Halo game, this portion of game play diminished greatly and each time I was left wondering why they couldn't have at least had a minimum of 10 hours of play time. Then I learned that each successive game was growing more and more about Multiplayer, which I'm not too keen on, but play if I'm ever on when a friend is. (Not too often which is why I've let my membership revert to Silver for now) In any case, when ODST came out, I was hoping for that same result. I mean the game came on one disc and the multiplayer was on a totally seporate disc. I was really excited for a full content single player campaign. However, I was disappointed once again when I beat it on Legendary in under 6 hours.

Halo, I am Disappoint. You used to be beautiful and now you're reduced to this. :(

I'm going to do my best not to expose myself to the hype, then look at the score on gamespot or something. The less you know about a good game, the better it is, at least for me anyway.
I do this with movies as well, but I wouldn't rely on some magazine or online press score. They're paid off to rate a game as good. In the last 4 issues of Game Informer, I have yet to see a game review go under 5. And 5 in my book isn't that bad. 90% of all games listed in there are an average of 8-9 easily. Find some player ratings and use that as your basis for gaming purchases.
