Well I redid mine and I just woke up and the download was completed, so I'm happy. Sucks that I have to go to school before I can play it, but oh well, it's fully downloaded now.

Update: Yup, my video card can't handle the game, although the game installed like a breeze. Now I just need that new vidjuh card and I should be good to go. I can't wait for payday tomorrow! And then, therefore, a few days after that to get the card and install it, then hopefully that works. Woohoo! :D

Well I have a goalie in Be A Pro mode, but I still have to get used to the controls before I'm going to take that career seriously, but that's usually the position I'd prefer as well.

What would your character's position be and what jersey number since you already established the Bruins as your favorite.
My character was jersey #16, but since my trade, I had to give that up for #20 instead.

I doubt many people in the forums have or play games of this nature, but in the off-hand chance that someone else may have the game, we can discuss it here.

Currently I am playing in "Be A Pro Mode" which like in any RPG allows me to create my own player for the game. Only this has nothing to do with tales and quests and junk, just sports and the opportunity to get in a fight at a press of a button. Originally I wished to be recruited into the Detroit RedWings so I began in the minor leagues under the Griffins. After much hard work, I earned a spot on the RedWings only to be traded off 9 games later despite being the third rated character on the team.

Now I play with the Columbus BlueJackets and am on a quest to improve my stats enough in hopes Detroit will see how awesome my character is and want me back. So far, I have been promoted to first string Left Wing position and I have averaged a hat trick each game (that's three goals in a game) and in the schedule, my game against Detroit is fast approaching. I plan to cream them to show them it's better to have me on their team, than against them.

Obsessive? yeah, I'm a hockey hooligan.

I've tried, but everything I try to open wants to go right through the stuffty windows downloader. I was able to get it to go through utorrent once, but that obviously failed. I found a site that has already given me a 10 or so hour download time. I'll be sleeping through most of it, so I suppose that will suffice. The server is down anyways so I wouldn't have been able to play tonight as is.

Okay, now I'm rather upset. I just finished the download, winzip immediately tried to open it when I specifically asked it to save through utorrent, said that the file was too large and there wasn't enough memory to open it, crashes utorrent and winzip, then my pc shuts down, automatically restarts and now I don't have the damn 7gig file I spent the last 30+ hours downloading. Needless to say I am not a happy panda and I will be taking a trip outside to make a few passing remarks to whomever is within earshot.

Well now it says I have a 20 minute wait. I'm getting so friggin anxious to try this thing out. Granted, I don't expect much since I haven't gotten my card upgrade yet, but we will still see if it is manageable to at least give me an idea of what I'll be doing when we get into the final release.

Thoughts on the Mech parts:

loving awesome. It's a very small parts pack but the stuff you can do with it is pretty cool. From total robots to cyborgs, it's all insane.

I smell a lot of Metalgreymons popping out of the woodworks.

The beta is taking forever to download..

It told me it would be a 17 hour download...30+ hours ago. I still have 3 hours max to wait left, so it will most likely be tomorrow that I can play it.

It doesn't matter if you actually bought it or not. It's just a promotional thing, and updates you to 1.06, apparently a withheld patch that is to be released.
