I have similar dreams to yours. One time I was singing "Can you take me High enough" to a bunch of swooning women. I was pissed that I woke up. I was hitting the high notes and everything :(
And as much as I'll probably be banned, I did find it an interesting tale to listen to. I just won't word it as annoyingly as Azimuth did for the sake of being lazy.

Ninja edit: I noticed Azimuth's avatar had "If you don't care, don't post" in it. Sounds like he didn't practice what he preached. XD

No, it'll most likely engulf everything up to the asteroid belt. Here is a link talking about it, but I'll copypasta the one paragraph that agrees with my statement.

Edit: forgot the link, dur hur. :s http://www.mcclatchydc.com/science/story/31756.html

Astronomers think that white dwarfs are the final stage in the evolution of a low- or medium-mass star, such as our sun. When the sun burns up all its hydrogen, it will swell into an enormous "red giant" that will swallow everything in the solar system as far out as Mars.
Even comes with a neat-o picture showing the stages. :D

add Arby's please?
Arby's because they have yummy food. :9
That falls under "other"
I prefer my own cooking over any burger joint, but if I had to judge based on what I frequent most, it'd be Arby's followed by Subway.

Well I like RPGs, but mostly the kind that allow you to choose your fate kind of deal (see Mass Effect, Fable, and Fallout 3) I like them mainly because they offer more than just one long plot line, but many depending on how your mood is on a day to day basis. I know I don't always feel like being a good savior to humanity and would love to cause mischief or flat out carnage some days.

The other type of genres I like are Strategy and FPS. Strategy makes a person think and be creative, yeah, school learning type stuff. As with FPS, it's non-stop action, so there's no time to really get bored.

Sorry, I've been sleeping.

Are you talking to me? I accept his life and all the wonderful things he did, but he died young and in pain. If I truly believed in Heaven, then I would be happy. Even now, you simply refuse to see that I don't believe in God. I don't believe in Heaven. You say you haven't "given any evidence of being one way or the other", and yet every word exudes belief in God and the Bible. Your posts are a pathetic attempt at pretending to be neutral when you are clearly biased.

I realized something during the night: I'm not going to change my views and neither are you. Therefore, I will read a couple more of your posts, and then leave this thread.
Yeah, I was referring to you, and I wasn't stating the heaven thing for your sake, but for his as I'm sure he believed as most people did back then. If you read my posts earlier, you'd see exactly to what extent that belief falls apon even if slightly biased. But since I know you're too lazy to do so in the first place, I'll restate just for you. I believe in god, yes, but I do not believe in any mainstream religion out there due to the fact that it's all based on interpretation of what humanity feels god wants us to do, which in most cases I think is wrong. My arguments remained neutral until you had to start spouting inappropriate slams against Christians in general in the hopes of looking cool and appealing to other atheists.

I know your grandpa's death was not a pleasant thing to experience, when mine died in a similar manner I was glad he no longer had to suffer. I was mad at god for allowing him to suffer for as long as he had to, but I realized it's not his fault because God does not go out of his way to kill a person's grandpa just to be spiteful to a kid who still has his whole life ahead of him to figure out what he will do with himself. So I got over it just being glad to have had the time to have a grandpa in my life, even if not for as long as I'd like. I have friends who never knew theirs as they died before they were born. Can you imagine how that might be like? Do you think that's god's fault as well? If so, then you have a lot to learn. Humans all die and can do so at any time. God has nothing to do with that other than to ensure that when they do, they have a place to go to to reap bliss for eternity.

You may think it's a silly belief, you may think I'm nuts. I don't care either way. I've never slammed you for believing in what you believe. I've slammed you for being an idiot and spouting nothing but tired repeated excuses and arguments to try and look cool to others when all you needed to do was listen and reply with a "I see what you think, but..." or just not reply at all. No, you had to go the childish route and assume that I was being biased when all I stated was that there is still not enough evidence to confirm the theories as fact for either side of the argument.

the sun won't blow up, it's not big enough. not all stars go super-nova. the sun will just die into a white dwarf, then a black dwarf as it loses fuel.
Yes, but before it does, it will go through a small phase of expansion as it tries to release excess energy it can no longer sustain before collapsing back in on itself. That's where the Earth will be engulfed and most likely consumed before it gets to a dwarf status.

But by logical standards, scientific evidence is the most believable. If you are so cavalier about your religion, why be a Christian and believe in God? If you say it is possible that you are wrong, why believe in anything? Why not search for the truth, instead of believing. That's what science is about.
Because having an open mind means you're open to new ideas, not shutting out things other people believe. I have a firm belief in god and no one has proven to me he doesn't. No one can. I also believe in a lot science has actually proven, just not the Big bang despite it being the most likely scenario. To accept one has faults and in effect might be wrong is to be human. But to say one's belief is a fault is simply wrong. I never directly stated you were wrong for your belief. I said I didn't believe because I haven't seen the evidence I need to believe it.

HAVE YOU PEOPLE NOT TAKEN BASIC ASTRONOMY?!!?! The moon's distance from the Earth varies from 221,463 miles to 251,968 miles. The Earth averages a distance of 93 million miles from the sun.
Astronomy was one thing I excelled in thank you. Here's your proof.

Note how it is on both sides of the earth compared to the sun? Maybe you need to retake astronomy while you're still in school.

I've seen the proof and I'm not convinced no matter how much proof one shoves into my face. As soon as a real life video pops up showing exactly how the universe was created or shows the process of evolution happens, then I can confirm it as full truth. But the fact is that it's neither denial nor ignorance. I didn't say it didn't happen because there is no proof showing that it has. For all we know, a cosmic muffin could have shaken it's sprinkles out and formed the stars. It's just as valid as anything else people have come up with. I take no offense to what you say, I'm just saying that as close as we come to understanding our origins, we will never truly know and will always be in the search for how it happened. One time, it was god, now it's the big bang, next you know, everyone will be applauding the theory of that aforementioned cosmic muffin or alien race that pops by to admit that they had a good hand in it.

...are you high? The moon is always closer to the Earth than the sun.
I'd say half and half since we have both solar and lunar eclipses which means it rotates in it's own orbit around the earth. You're probably thinking it doesn't rotate on the axis like the earth does.
