my old middleschool best friend would get his consoles smashed to pieces every time he had a bad grade.
lost his gamecube
Let's be real his dad probably had to bomb the gamecube several times just to get a crack on it let alone smash it into pieces.

My first game was Red, Blue, and Yellow. I played all three with my brother owning Red and me owning Blue and Yellow, but I always played Yellow more as a kid because it's cooler B).
I still have my original cartridge and I guess it's about time I do my routine checkup to see if my save still exists...

wait the forget how is even still here even after like 16 years

I've looked at every page on this damn forum and I still don't get this joke.
It's a play on the stereotype of how black people like KFC so much, I don't think I really should have to explain further than that.
I don't get the joke from ethier of these
It's a stuffty joke people made from the "loss" comic strip in the Ctrl-Alt-Del webcomic. The joke mainly stems from how the creator (Tim Buckley) tried to add some drama to his stuffty comedy focused webcomic with poorly executed scene of his girlfriend having a miscarriage. Not only is the scene extremely out of place, but the way it's done overall is really terrible so of course people are going to poke fun at it. So now people think they're top tier comedians by making a couple of lines inside of four squares and running the same unfunny joke or meme or whatever into the ground until it reaches the center of the earth. Loss.jpg never was funny (aside from a couple actually clever ones) and sure as hell still isn't with you guys running it further into the ground in ylyl.

i don't think rotondo is planning on stocking up on controllers lol

he just wants to hear how the game works with specific controllers that players here have since we're basically his steady source of bug reports.
No, it is a definite requirement for the game to get to the point where I am able to play with my steering wheel and flight stick.

Gen 1 has a bunch of problems itself and wouldn't be the best starting place in my opinion even with how simple as it is. You're better off with the GBA remakes if you really want to go to the Kanto region.
Gen 2 is really good as it fixes a lot of the issues gen 1 had and adds in a bunch of cool stuff (not to mention the end game content). The Heartgold and Soulsliver remakes are really loving good and add onto what was already a great game, I would probably recommend that the most.

is this the one with the open world and themeparks?

No, but I remember this PS1 classic:

I wouldn't be too surprised be it was a really good game, after all Toy Story 2 on the PS1 was a pretty well put together and fun collectathon platformer (also made by the same developer). Licensed games are usually hit and miss, a miss most of the time. But oh boy when its a hit, its a hit.

Imgur must really like this image because it's probably like the third time its been on the front page. Granted it is a good comic so it makes sense.

EDIT: Oh, apparently he means a TRAIN. NOT A loving TROLLEY YOU STUPID loving AMERICAN CUNT.

THAT'S A loving TROLLEY YOU DUMB ARSE.
I'm not familiar with the lingo you Australians use, but this is what we americans call a trolley:

But who knows maybe there is actually a shopping cart on track holding dozens of people and about to run some guy over.
a trolley carries shopping not people, silly america
Nothing's stopping you from though.

Since people are bring consoles into this that gives me a chance to talk about the PS1. So my aunt used to have a PS1 back then and we'd play whenever we went over to here apartment to visit. Specifically it was the slim version or in other words this thing:

Technically the slim model was released in the 2000's but its still 1994 technology so it still counts dammit
So many great memories playing Crash 3 and Pac-Man World at my aunts house, which isn't even including the other games I played on my own PS1 at home like Crash, Spyro, Ape Escape, Final Fantasy, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, etc.
