mestizo would be a race, but it still wouldn't really fit as a catch all term for latin americans

I don't get why he's jumping on Latino specifically when all of the categories are overly broad to begin with.

I never participated on that specific subreddit and I only heard about it after the drama surrounding it, but I'm familiar with the concept from other sites. He brought up fatpeoplehate as an example of a problem community and I told him I disagree. I don't understand what point you're trying to make. I typed two short sentences on the matter and you're claiming I am being overly defensive.

I think it's disingenuous to say that these sites do not attract certain types of people over other sites. It can likely be attributed to the personalities of the people who take off and become popular as well as those of the moderation staff. Can you seriously say that tumblr and 4chan (or the *chan of your choice) share the same atmosphere and posting habits? They're both large scale websites where anyone can come and post whatever right?

what you're doing is the equivalent of judging the entirety of reddit based off of, I dunno, /r/fatpeoplehate or something. reddit is just a host for forums, and isn't a real "community" that you can just generalize as "dumb reddit people"

Well, resting heartrate can change quite a bit throughout the day, especially if you've been active. I just measured mine and it came out as 64. I measured it a couple of weeks ago immediately after waking up for a full minute and got 53.

And typically I workout multiple times a day, weight lifting and some sort of cardio activity so it comes out to more than 7 times but it is everyday so I voted 7.

But there are lots of races in Latin America.

And there's a lot in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, etc.

Think about it, both the Japanese and Indians are Asian, and Indians especially aren't even a homogeneous group within their own country.

Humans have been developing and changing for 10s of thousands of years. It has only been about 600 or so since we were connected globally.

But a simple Google search can tell you what Latino typically refers to.

If you're latino you're white

Same for middle eastern

Some Middle Eastern ethnicities can be considered white, but half breed (if even) latin@s are definitely not white.
