Just played, only seemed to have a few lag spikes every once in a while. Otherwise it was loads of fun.. Especially when more people showed up. =)

Help / Re: Eventing Help
« on: March 05, 2012, 03:19:20 AM »
Turns out that didn't work either. I'm assuming there is no way to correctly do this at this point. If nothing else comes up i guess I'll just have to settle with "Someone is at your door." If anyone else can help that would be great and I appreciate the help from everyone else.
*cough*
You could use <var:cl:name> in VCE instead of %1, and if that doesn't work you could save the name variable to a brick event, and then send that out.

Copy events EXACTLY. Click brick once. Every person who clicks it afterwards will tell you who clicked it.

I've been bored the past week, so I started developing a program so I could digitalize my deck. =D

Still need to go back and clean up the images, and add a few more small features, but it's otherwise done. =)

Help / Re: How do i make a map?
« on: February 29, 2012, 06:29:43 PM »
You're not listening. Making maps now are pointless. In the next update, making maps the way we currently do it is going to be completely removed. You're going to have to "make maps" with bricks in the future.

You can use <var:br:printcount> with the most recent version of VCE.

You could use Zone Events and set up a Zone Brick that uses Zone Event's "onVehicleEnterZone" event to detect it.

Help / Re: VCE modvariable -> set -> value ?
« on: February 15, 2012, 08:14:13 PM »
we talked about this a while ago but how did you do this, was it just a simple screenshot or did you have to do more to get the image of these events?
To get the picture? I used a capture program called Hyperdesktop from imgur, similar to Gyazo but it works a lot better. I don't remember ever talking about how I do it though.. =/

Help / Re: Craft Haptic Rpg - Bot CI Issues :(
« on: February 15, 2012, 02:29:40 AM »

..?

Setting the bot name directly to "Bob" also worked. I couldn't get it to display a message when it killed me, other than that.. Though I'm pretty sure using <var:cl:name> to everyone in the server wouldn't work properly.. I didn't have someone else to help me test that.

Brick named Test:

Second brick that pulls a variable from the "Test" brick:

<var:nb_test:savedText> is what temp is being set to, the bar doesn't fully show it.

Pulled this from an old example I did where you could store a message on a brick, and then view what the last message was. Intended for a "radio" like setup. Was easy to modify to test what you wanted. =)

And if the saved variable is a number, you can add/subtract/(other operation here) just like it was a number.
