Petitions won't do anything because it comes down to Badspot's decision in the end.
Badspot honestly could care less about a petition because he hardly ever reacts to them.
They virtually are nothing except a rant and a vote for changing something.
Except for the specific polarization of the topic starter's way to start the thread, isn't that what a discussion is? This is a
discussion board, right? A petition is a topic that started with a polarized original post with a vote. It's not very far from a polarized original post without a vote, except for the centralized discovery of where opinion is. Petitions do not specifically depend on whether that action is going to happen because depending on an unknown outcome is illogical.
