it's obviously not that, it's the fact people broke into these peoples privacy and leaked pictures of them all over the internet and then people jacked off to them. that's not the same as liking beautiful women. obviously there's gonna be a negative connotation to that
i'm not defending the leakers. i'm saying it's not immoral for all these dudes to be freaking out about it (although its p tacky)

because it's subjective???this video:

from the perspective of a reviewer even at that
Literally all 5 of those are problems with internet users. The gaming community is very much situated on the internet. stuffty internet users who happen to be gamers (as well as gaming's primary demographic of teen to young adult males) are the ones in the Youtube comments, which is probably where this guy got most of his exposure to this behavior.

I was under the impression that metacritic had critic scores as well as user reviews
aka use the user reviews score

Gaming culture in itself is pretty bad.

Wouldn't expect journalism to not reflect the community.
bad community=bad journalism
if this were true, gaming journalism would be entirely 20-something white cishet dudebros that wouldn't have even raised a finger for zoe quinn

I don't use gaming journalism. It's always been pretty pointless in my eyes. I'm pretty sure it all devolves into clickbait eventually.
how's that serious
I got my definition from a screencap of /v/ on the #Gamergate hashtag. It said "This is not about the victimization of women, it's about corruption in gaming journalism"
I don't know where he got his from.
no
i did not
learn to read
video games are really big and very important to a lot of people

Gamergate is about corruption in gaming journalism, not zoe quinn necessarily

says the ROBOT forgetER,,,

but actually that is interesting
what a dumb bitch

i hate this stuff. women that dog straight men for looking at beautiful women, then they turn around and reblog pictures of shirtless british tv actors
i can understand the moral issue of there being leaked nudes. it sucks that jlaw/whoever got hacked and had things they didn't want published appear all over the internet. but not looking at the pictures isn't going to undo that. i suppose you could make the case that looking at these things gives hackers/leakers a reason to do these things. but one person not looking at them isn't going to change anything, unfortunately.

okay let's break that argument down
that's like saying that because a city is riddled with crime, people who are worried about criminals should just leave instead of taking measures to prevent the crime
"there could be triggering content anywhere, so clearly the answer is to leave the entire internet"
i don't think you understand how important the internet isi'm legitimately sorry, you remind me of how i thought in middle school, when it was fun to be angry
i don't tolerate pussies, i just know a lot of good people who have issues and don't feel like making them have a bad time
i have to agree with daed here

you don't solve crime by evacuating the city, you solve crime by dealing with it

you don't solve this problem by making people prone to panic attacks leave the entire internet
you let them create safe spaces where they can enjoy the internet like the rest of us do without being triggered frequently

also i keep reading about sjws stuffting all over allies
so much for social justice

getting triggered to a picture of blood is not "legitimate"
i don't know. what if you witnessed a murder or a massacre? i can easily see blood being a legitimate trigger

point is we're not all psychologists here so dismissing triggers as "for the weak" is unfounded
obv if it's like cereal or something then its pretty clear that trigger is illegitimate
but if it can be paired with something that would cause mental trauma it's pretty simple

I dont think anyone was arguing that trigger warnings aren't real, it's just doubt that all those people on tumblr actually suffer from them
People were definitely arguing that trigger warnings are bs (like blueblur) but yeah

everything he animates is researchy now

I don't think he "joined" them persay. He's always been a feminist, my guess is he passively agrees with Anita/Zoe because of what he's seen.
1. stuffty, legitimately misogynist people insulting people he knows
2. No counter evidence (or very little of it)
