But the word "trigger" is a made up term. Attention whores on tumblr made it up. People who actually have PTSD aren't "triggered" by things that upset them. They are upset by things that upset them due to whatever happened that caused their disorder.

Name one person that has been actually diagnosed with PTSD that claims to have a "trigger".

You people are really over brown townyzing his use of the word "trigger". "Warning" and "Trigger Warning" both work perfectly well, he just chose to use "Trigger Warning"

I was responding to the original comment "Trigger warnings are bullstuff" with an example of a legitimate trigger that would warrant a warning. Trigger warnings can be made beyond tumblr, you know.

Noises and visuals are not the same as trigger words and cannot really be warned against because every PTSD suffer's trigger is different and hard to define

Well for certain groups of people they can be similar (like explosions or the whistle of a bomb falling) but yeah

people on tumblr are not war vets

i was just saying not all trigger warnings are invalid

Ignore whatever message this article may have, I didn't read it. But yeah feminine hygiene products (which are a necessity IMO) are taxed

He made the jump from people complaining about the overloveualization of women in video games to people complaining about that setting high standards for women
