I'm still not going to trust the leaks to being what we're getting. After all, Nintendo is subject to change plans on these dev builds, and it could just be that play-testers are posting leaks of their received rosters and claiming them to be the "official list".There is like a month until release. Development is over. It's entirely bug testing and fixing now. Also there is GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE of these characters. Unless this leak is incorrect, this roster is not subject to change.

The 2 Fire Emblem characters are just adding to the ones we don't really need (ones from games already picked at, especially since it's had 3 individual characters in the past) idk about robin, but the way lucina was described by sakurai shows she did not take up another character's "slot"
Wii fit trainer's hardly a character to begin with tru
Rosalina's pretty popular but it's kind of useless fanservice since she does almost nothing in SMG her playstyle is interesting and unprecedented
Duck hunt dog is lame tru
So that's easily 6 slots that could've been open for more original characters like:
Glover, Banjo, Davy (chameleon twist), maybe giving a spot to Ray from Custom Robo as a genuine character instead of an assist trophy, Aiai, both Jet Force Gemini protags, and Bomberman (WHY AREN'T YOU IN THESE GAMES)
I know it really boils down to licensing issues, but I think they could've tried harder to get some instead of just going for bottom of the barrel characters.
this is all opinionated ranting so don't take it as me saying "wow what I like is definitive"
