You could do some form of comparison in the intro, like a hypothetical situation where one of the people listening has to get treatment, but they get delayed/get stuck with rusty needles because a meth head had to be DTed.

i'm in a k-8 school in 7th grade

This clan is pointless and bullstuff. A three year old could have come up with this. It's not rocket science. (and i bet a three year old did)
You only made this clan because you wanted to have power over people. This clan has no effort put into it. There's no layout, no purpose,  you only threw it together to feel important. Get out.
No one cares about this stupid clan. Just look at something like BAN (blockland alliance navy). That is an example of an organized plan. They have a purpose, and it wasn't slapped together just so the creator could feel better about himself.

The best speeches approach a problem by identifying it, describing it, and then portraying a solution.

Although I think free health-care would be a good idea, if you don't that is understandable.
Perhaps talk about how it uses too much tax money, then talk about what that money could be used for instead.
Be prepared for the smart liberal in your class to say "we should just take the troops out of the middle east and use the money we save from that to fund it." Reply with something about terrorism if this should happen.

Thanks, that helped a lot, actually. BOLDED: Fortunately, there is no other side taking this topic. It is only me, so nobody can say that much except for maybe when I take questions at the end. I will be prepared anyway.
What else could that tax money go into though?

What are your main points of your speech? I could come up with an intro for you.

There are two reasons and a counter arguement to the other side.
1: Waiting. (some people die while waiting, wait for diagnostic procedures, etc. waiting is increased.)
2: Quality. (Quality is lowered because there won't be enough to fund research and renovations and better equipment.)
Other Side: Health care should reach those who can't afford it. (you can apply to be covered by the government and will not be denied if you can't pay for it.)
My conclusion is basically "well durp this affects you because shut up health care can decide whether you live or die. if you have to wait, or the equipment isn't good enough, you will croak."

Please don't make it too dangerously cheesy, I have to say it in front of class.
