Cut the wire near them and cut the peice of the catwalk near you
then shoot the wire on the other end.
My logic here is that without the wires holding it up and with a side missing it would break under their weight

instead of a whaling pistol, why not change it into a whaling crossbow, that way we can load just about anything into it
