Tony, what do you actually stand to gain in voting for Annoying Orange? You're presumably lower-middle class, you probably pay jack stuff in taxes, and you probably don't compete with illegal immigrants for jobs. All of the main reasons to vote against Clinton literally do not apply to you.

Extremely small, expensive, and completely un-tethered objects. "How I lost my airpods" is going to be the newest hot meme of 2017, I guarantee it.

If it had the early access tag everyone would be loving this game, lol. loving sheeps.
Probably because their expectations would have been better adjusted to what they actually received. Remember that they didn't pay for half of a game plus continued development, they just paid for a game.

I mean, it's not like early access games have been known to be complete and utter failures also full of lies.
Of course not, but my experience with them has definitely been, on average, worse than games released after full development time. It's also very rare that they continue to make major changes and updates to games after a successful early-access release, just because the economic incentive is no longer there.

It's on gog too bro.
Couldn't find the sales figures for Gog, but I've never even heard of that website until just now. They're probably losing more to Steam refunds than they're gaining on that website. Just a hunch.

Believe it or not, people are still buying this game whether you like it or not. lol
According to SteamSpy.com, it hasn't turned a profit on Steam since August 24th (due to so many refunds). To continue spending money on employee salaries and earning a profit (assuming avg employee salary of $45k/yr), the game needs to continue to sell $675,000 worth of copies every single year, discounting the fees associated with Steam and other publishing expenses.

How long do you think it'll take before the 'sales' line on the graph dips below the 'employee salary' line? Because that's exactly as long as they'll continue seriously developing this game. Less so even, if they decide to anticipate a drop and lay off employees, or just otherwise invest human resources into new projects.

It was updated less than a week ago...
I'm not saying that they won't keep up a nice little skeleton crew to keep pushing out bug fixes and the occasional content update. It's just that there's no way in hell that they're going to continue to pay an entire development team to fix every single problem with this game when there's essentially no more economic incentive. If Hello Games is run by actual businessmen, there is absolutely no way they will spend that money.

Why was RAGE updated like years later?

Why did that scott pilgrim game receive a random DLC update for multiplayer years after release?

Stop it.
Okay, but think for a second, why is it that such a huge percentage of projects funded on Kickstarter and put out Early-Access on Steam end up stagnating and dying out before development finishes?

I'll give you a hint, it's because all of the money moves to the developers before they've finished the job, and any additional effort isn't rewarded with a reasonable amount of money.

I'm going to loving call you people out whenever you say bullstuff like the game will never get updated.
Why would they update it? It's lost all of its momentum and they've extracted 90% of the money that can be theoretically made from this game. There is no incentive for them to continue major development, other than to perhaps improve their reputation as a company (which, a few million dollars later, probably isn't a huge deal).

Finally, an appropriate thread for this underappreciated game. While we're at it, you guys should take a listen to this Nickelback/Hootie and the Blowfish remix I made. Afterwards, we can talk all about how great M. Night Shyamalan's screenwriting was in The Last Airbender.

But it was clear by release that the devolution had occurred, people had time to refund their pre-orders. So the whole "zomg he lied" garbage that was perpetuated by others is a step too far.
See but like, that's only one of the promises that they didn't fulfill. Plus, going back quietly on features that were publicized and hyped-up all over the media does not properly adjust the expectations of players. If the developers made these things widely known and communicated effectively with their customers, you wouldn't have people all over the internet complaining about unfulfilled promises and lackluster development.

This is one of those situations where the 'customer is always right' idiom comes into play. You cannot have a business where problems in customer relations and revenue are blamed on the customers being incompetent.

Do you know what marketing is? In 2014 he said you could play with friends. In 2015 he said on the rare occasion of crossing paths with someone, you'd be able to see them. In early 2016 he said that there's not a large focus on multiplayer, but there's a "sense" that you're in the universe with other players. Before release, he said there's no multiplayer. There's a clear progression of development here. It doesn't even matter which of these interviews you heard, you're still going to end up at the steam store page that says "single-player"
What you're describing here is a linear progression from 'features' to 'no-features'. That is not development, that's like devolution.

Other than the microtransaction system, is the core gameplay any good? I really enjoyed HR and was looking forward to another installment for awhile.

Ask Goth77 or whatever his name is.

He's got some interesting opinions about vaccines and weed as cancer-medicine as well. Overall smart guy.
