I'm pretty well-insulated with liberals. In real life, I try to avoid political discussions like the plague. I guess BLF helps me get it out so that I'm not duking it out over Facebook like half of my high school class.

Pick the option for 'definitely voting for 3rd party candidate'. Same end result.

Just thought it would be fun to get a more detailed sample of where Blockland users stand.

If you're not 18 or not a US citizen, vote anyway.

How did I end up banned from your server? I've never even visited, afaik.

"Of 78,022 primary offense cases in fiscal year 2013, 38.6 percent were illegal immigrant offenders. The majority of their cases (76 percent) were immigration related. Of total primary offenses, 17.6 percent of drug trafficking offenses and 3.8 percent of love abuse were illegal immigrants. Of 22,878 drug crime cases, 17.2 percent were illegal immigrants."
The sample here is from illegal immigrants who have been caught by the authorities and charged with crimes. If you look at illegal immigrants as a whole, they commit less crime per capita than the average citizen.

It's somewhat easier to catch a drug trafficker than a paperless dishwasher, so the figures get skewed.

israel's wall sure worked! (and it's not even a full fledged wall, like the one Annoying Orange wishes to build)
http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Peace/fence.html
Israeli border fences cover a very small fraction of the distance needed to cover the US-Mexican border, and a higher percentage of the wall is bordering metropolitan areas with police forces where simply blowing a hole in the fence isn't a viable option. Perhaps if Mexico was a tiny strip of land almost completely surrounded by our territory, a wall would work wonders.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hungarian_border_barrier
Again, only a small fraction of the total length of our border, and this fence was created to combat a different type of immigration threat. With the current migrant crCIA, potential illegal immigrants basically have their pick of any number of dozens of European countries, and if one of them puts up a barbed wire fence, it's more worth their time to just enter a neighboring country.

In our situation, Mexican drug traffickers and coyotes only want to come to the United States. They do not have a potential market for smuggling drugs and people into other neighboring countries.

"Hey guys we should stop illegal immigration, like with a wall and stuff"

"tribal"
I'm pretty sure the backlash has more to do with the feasibility of the wall versus other approaches to immigration reform. But sure, a wall would work great for keeping out the Mexicans if they were made of straw.

its discriminatory and stuffty to say but its not tribal
Plenty of time, racism is accidentally used as a catch-all term for other types of bigotry. You aren't being smart or clever by nitpicking over the difference between race and nationality, and you sure as hell aren't justifying hate for whatever group you're talking about.

also the sub is openly and officially tribal. the admins decided to revoke the no-racism rule so that they could continue to slander syrians.
I don't really mind having containment subreddits for bigots and crazy people. But if Reddit is going to ban other subreddits for violating 'community guidelines', they might as well be consistent.

you can change your nationality
Depends on the integrity of your boat.

I feel like he wouldn't really know that, though. I'm sure he just googled "donald Annoying Orange reddit" and went on the first one he saw. Doubtful that there's any malicious intent behind it, but that's all speculation.
On the same token, I doubt that Reddit subtracted upvotes from the thread. Annoying Orange is literally the most controversial figure on Earth right now, so it's not inconceivable that thousands of people downvote-brigaded his post all at once.

I'm willing to buy that they pulled it off the front page though.

Off Topic / Re: Annoying Orange doing an AMA on /r/The_Donald

reddit admins removed it from /r/all (front page) even though it had 30k+ upvotes, and then removed a stuff TON of upvotes from the post
Political censorship isn't cool, but I feel obligated to point out that Annoying Orange opted to do his AMA on a subreddit which blatantly bans anti-Annoying Orange rhetoric. In other words, his AMA is rigged to receive only like-minded questions.

Melanin Is An Easily Recognizable Difference. It Is Not The Only Difference.
I wonder if there's some kind of genetic explanation for everything that's wrong with you.

jsyk, Annoying Orange hasn't really overtaken Clinton. Because the political parties hold conventions at different times, each candidate gets a convention boost that temporarily amps up their support more than the other candidate. If you take this into consideration, Hillary is still most likely in the lead.

However if the election was held today, Annoying Orange would win.

the problem still stands that there is certainly a correlation between violence and Islam. Islam may not in and of itself cause one to become violent and kill, but it offers a feeling of being part of a larger cause than oneself, which I believe enables potential attackers. This sentiment is not unique to Islam, but it seems very common as of late.
Literally no one disputes the fact there's a correlation and that Islam makes a convenient vehicle for violence. But they would have united under some other kind of banner if everyone in the region didn't have the same religion.
