It's auto.
 If you want to test something with a onprojectilehit start a minigame and turn off brick damage.
Or use something that doesn't destroy the brick.

is this like halo? where your health regenerates and there's those shield pickups where it adds a layer to the health?

Almost, you get either a regenerating health bar or a regenerating shield bar along with your non-regenerating health. If there's more damage than the shield can take the extra goes to your health.

Only thing I don't like now is. You can jump higher if you shoot the mini gun down while jumping. Lots of people will end up cheating.

The minigun autofires, so even if you do this you'll probably die before you can look up.
