Help / Re: --- Ping?
« on: July 25, 2011, 08:36:16 PM »
Try restarting your router "safely" using the web interface. If the power was cut to it, it may have had a few issues closing down correctly then re-launching the settings.

Try running windows update, that will usually at least pick you up a version of a driver for your graphics card.

Make sure you have Blockland.exe set up as an "exception" or similar in whatever firewall you are using.

I somewhat feel if you need a guide on how to make a clan topic, you shouldn't own a clan.

When UPnP support was first introduced, I remember there being issues if you had UPnP and PortForwarding done, I'm not sure if this is still an issue.

I'd suggest enabling UPnP on your router, disabling any port forwarding rules to do with blockland and enabling UPnP on blockland.

Help / Re: VCE Links
« on: July 21, 2011, 10:35:09 AM »
An example from one of my events.

As normal you just use
Code: [Select]
onActivate -> Client -> ChatMessage
Then in the output parameter

Code: [Select]
<varlink:*-*_BankCache:100>

So Effectively it's
<varlink:[color=red]WhatYouWantToDisplay[/color]_[color=red]VariableToEdit[/color]:[color=red]WhatToSetTheVariableTo[/color]>

Then you just do an OnVariableUpdate>Self>VCEifValue [<var:cl:[color=red]VariableToEdit[/color]>] [!=] [0] [[color=red]EventsToTrigger[/color]]
OnVariableTrue>DoStuff

If that makes sense....

Damn BBcode. Fixt.

Help / Re: Dead Ping, Port Forwarding will not work!
« on: July 21, 2011, 10:25:22 AM »
It seems to keep being said that you have an airport router; as I said, you can download a version of Airport Utilities for Windows - Oh look http://support.apple.com/downloads/AirPort_Utility_5_4_1_Windows . Anyway, try that.

Look, there is over 100 replies and no one can seem to help you.
Seeing as 80 of the replies are probably his....

This is all the help I will offer; your continuous replies and lack of patience makes me think you would not be a good server host anyway.

What is your subnet mask set to? Try setting it to 255.255.255.0

Also if you are using an airport router on a Windows machine there is an airport utilities .exe available.

some screenshots of stuff might help others see something your missing.

take one of blockland failing to work.
take one of running ipconfig /all at the command prompt.
take (several) of your network properties.

put them on a pic hosting site and post the links here.

Do this.
I suspect you have multiple networks on the go (or vpns such as hamachi which create their own network adapter) and are attempting to enter the wrong default gateway.

I'd suggest not port fowarding, and just enabling UPnP on your router when you can access it.

You may also find power cycling your network helps; my router occasionally throws a wobbly and lets the web interface become inaccessible.

:/

Sorry, my loyalty is to the server-goers of blockland.
And the server-goers will have no-where to go to if you piss off the server owners.

Help / Re: Unable to host. The ability comes and goes.

If using UPnP, having a dynamic IP shouldn't effect it as the UPnP rules aren't generally assigned to a single IP.

General Discussion / Re: BEE Clan Leader Fake
« on: July 15, 2011, 06:41:36 PM »
Mr.Justin, ID 22209 is not affiliated with BEE in any way.

DarkStar, ID 3894 (AKA Metube465 on Youtube) is our glorious leader.

Confronted Justin about this, just said "forget You" multiple times and maintains that he owns the clan.

Will possibly be drama'd.

General Discussion / Re: DNS failure
« on: July 15, 2011, 03:07:56 PM »
What you can do is change your DNS settings to OpenDNS, this worked for me. OpenDNS is a free DNS provider.

OpenDNS Wiki

208.67.222.222
or
208.67.220.220

If you want to know how to change DNS settings, on windows it's similar to changing to a static IP (on the same page).

Seemed to fix my issue of it; you can also (in windows) try inputting in the command prompt
Code: [Select]
ipconfig /flushdns
