Atheist. I won't shove my belief in your face if you don't shove yours in mine.

You should search through the first few pages or use the search feature - there are loads of topics on the same subject.

Doesn't matter where you put it, as long as it's correctly linked to the blockland exe with the correct parameters. You should search through the first few pages or use the search feature - there are loads of topics on the same subject.

Help / Re: Nobody can join my server! Ive tried everything!

At a first glance it all looks right. Sometimes routers require a restart to apply settings correctly; there should be an option in that interface to do something like "save and restart" or "restart safely" see if that does it.

N.B. your internet will temporarily stop while your router restarts.

Also, check your firewall on your computer is not blocking the blockland traffic.

I'd suggest showing pictures of your port forwarding rules and your ipconfig

General Discussion / Re: Why can't you resize bricks like in Roblox?
« on: March 24, 2012, 10:43:01 AM »
Isn't Y usually up/down?
Only in 2d space. If you've ever done 3d vectors or graphs at school, it will almost always be Z being up or down. and in the format (x,y,z)

so a base 1000x1000 will only be one brick
Why do you need a base that big?

If you are lagging, chances are you're pushing your system too hard or have an old computer that just can't cope. Turn down your settings or upgrade your gcard.

Also why is the position set up XZY?
It's not is it... Z is up/down.

Basically, blockland runs on a static brick grid and roblox runs on a dynamic one. They can have built vehicles, we can have a ridiculous amount of bricks with no lag.   If you really struggle getting the right size brick, there are countless brick packs out there with millions of bricks in. You really don't need a brick resizer to build well, and if it "increases the brick count a ton", you're probably doing it wrong.

This is the official forums, administrated by the owner of the game.

If you check the URL it's just a subdomain of the main site.

On my keyboard, the key above tab is ` or ¬      not ' though, ~ is over by enter so I can use it in chat; it appears when typing chat however it appears to disappear when I actually send the chat.

Help / Re: Something to limit my fps in Blockland?

If you want to let your computer go into sleep mode while having blockland running, I'm assuming you're hosting? In which case, host a dedicated server and it will run without the graphics part.

Off Topic / Re: How to record skype with audacity?
« on: March 21, 2012, 08:41:42 AM »
Depending on your OS, you can usually set your computer to have a sound device commonly known as "Stereo Mix". That is just an output of anything coming out of your computer; if you then set the input of audacity to be that you will get skype.

N.B. - If you do this and you don't have your computer set up to hear your own microphone, you won't get that on your recording. Simple answer = 2 tracks, one of your mic and another of stereo mix and then bounce it down to a single file.

Also, this will pick up any other noises from your computer such as music or game noises, so make sure you take that into consideration when "mixing" you programs.
