Make sure your firewall isnt blocking the program. Try just temporarily disabling it.

If your key gets changed, anyone attempting to use it will no longer be able to use it as it will have been de-activated and a new key distributed to you.

Help / Re: (Tutorial) How To Port Forward On a Mac
« on: September 21, 2009, 05:33:53 PM »
Thanks for the help. I updated Airport Utility to the newest version, and now I can open it. However, when it scans for networks, it comes up with nothing. It says, "AirPort Utility was unable to find any Apple wireless devises. Make sure the Apple wireless devise you want to set up is plugged in and in range of your computer, and then try again." I hit "Rescan" and it still comes up with nothing. What should I do now?   (and thanks again for all the help. All this stuff is confusing for me.)
Are you sure you are using an AirPort utility router? Not all macs have to use AirPort routers... which is where this guide is confusing as this is basically just a guide for one set of routers... Not macs in general. If you do not have an airport router, go to www.portforward.com and then find your router and click it, then click Blockland. Follow the steps then - WIN :D

Help / Re: Blockland on notebook

Hmmm first thing that came to mind was
Try flushtexturecache();?
However it may be an OpenGL problem. Does your notebook's GCard support OpenGL?

Edit - And also what Regulith said

You shouldnt of said your internal ip
There is no way to "hack" via an internal ip unless you can either plug into that persons network or get in their wirless range (which has the pre-requiset of knowing where they live).

And also - Thanks Gen.Nick good guide ;)

Help / Re: How do i make my server a Dedicated one?
« on: September 17, 2009, 03:31:31 PM »
12 minute bump is not necessary.

However, go to
C:/program files/Blockland/     (XP)
C:/Blockland     (Vista)
Or wherever you installed blockland...
and run the Dedicated.bat (double click it).

Help / Re: A few things on starting a server.

Well, to be honest, there are so many variables which can effect lag its best just to try out and make sure you ask your friends if its lagging. However... for your questions -

1) Yes, and Blockland has to be up if non-dedi, if dedi, only the console has to be up
2) If low bandwith you will feel internet lag, and if low memory yes, as much as normal blockland I believe.
3) Maybe, Connection strength, memory amount, location, other programmes etc.

Honestly, you seem like you would be an intelligent host and I hope you decide to host. I can't forsee an immediate problem if you try.

No you wont (get hacked that is, Internal LAN IP is completely different to an external internet IP, you are safe. Anyway, did you follow the portforward.com guide for your router exactally? Also try forwarding 28000-28032 rather than 28000-28000

Hmmmm can you get the server list (you cant join server obviously as you are in offline mode). If you cant, try disabling your firewall temporarily.

I had this trouble - I fixed by changing network settings, changing back and then restarting blockland.

You seriously need to stop it, it gets annoying :f

On-Topic: Ever update your graphics drivers? Might be causing it.
Could help.
However to sort of narrow down the problem could you :
Post your console.log
and either attatch a dxdiag or tell us
RAM Amount -
GCard + Current driver version -
Processor -

I have a feeling I answered this elsewhere... However the basics of this problem is - You have a Mac router, but no mac. Answer - Download some funky software which lets you access the router, then follow the guide :D http://support.apple.com/downloads/AirPort_Utility_5_4_2_Windows
