Uh..... you can hire people from their guild cards, but it's not live.

i only just got it for the 3ds and desperately need people to hunt with since the 3ds apparently can't do server-based multiplayer without help from the WiiU (which i don't have yet)
anyone down

For 3DS you need to be in person to hunt together. You can connect to a WiiU and play locally there, but you need a WiiU to go online.
So you're SOL :x
