Off Topic / Re: What's your summer looking like?
« on: May 30, 2014, 01:58:21 AM »
What with the California drought I won't be swimming much so I'll prolly just go inside and boil
The drought actually affects people other than farmers? Do you not have running water or something? Why can't you swim?

My summer kicks off with me going to EDC the first weekend, then just loving around for the rest of it. I might get a job, I've got a stack of applications on my desk that I've yet to fill out.

I've never tried five guys, I think I would enjoy it. In-and-out is my favorite. I don't mind the thickness, its always salty. I like the taste. I like curly fries.
So what I'm getting from this is that you don't care about the thickness of things you put in your mouth, as long as they (or any juices they produce) are salty.

You don't know what I'm talking about? You've never had fries that have like no flavor to them so they just taste like unsalted mashed potatoes? That's what In-And-Out fries taste like.

I don't mind Five Guys, but I absolutely hate In-And-Out Burger. Their patties are like 5mm thick and are too salty. Their buns taste weird. Their fries taste too much like potato. forget them. Waste of time and money.

Officially, it's a bad idea to do this, but every time I've encountered this problem I've solved it with one command:

pacman -Syu --force

Found it.
So it is possible.
I think you're stretching our use of the word 'possible.' Anything is 'possible,' that person probably modified the source code and recompiled it. I don't consider window spacing a feature of i3 if it has to be modified manually and recompiled.

Also, thanks for the intolerable page stretch.

That code is a GIT output of a change to i3. It doesn't help you at all, and it also doesn't help the OP.

The site's documentation of the configuration API doesn't say anything about window spacing / padding / margins. Every thread I find where someone asks, the answer is that you can't do it. I looked through like 50 peoples i3 configurations on /r/unixresearch and none of them had window spacing.

That's a patch for the i3 source. You apply it with the patch command somehow.
From what I can tell from the code, it's actually irrelevant to window spacing. I'm no expert on the source code of i3, but I see nothing that would support the idea that this patch adds window padding.

It's not an issue of time, it's an issue of tediousness. It's hard to have patience with people when you're teaching them concepts that have been beaten into your brain repeatedly. If I was an elementary school teacher, I'd probably have to start taking Xanax daily to not get frustrated when kids can't add 10 and 2 after 2 weeks.

Reading this whole thing was so loving worth it, lmfao. Dumbasses.

I would try to make DMT but working with lye and ammonia and lighter fluid and then smoking it seems pretty loving scary to me.
This is why you have to put the product through like 30 acetone washes. Nobody wants to smoke ammonia.

General Discussion / Re: When will there be a big update again! D:
« on: May 29, 2014, 02:45:32 AM »
OP tripped me out when he said there haven't been any major updates since 2011. I was like, "What the forget? We've had shaders for 3 years? No way!' In reality, we've only had them for 9 months.

OT: As far as I'm concerned, the last big update was version 9.
