You guys are really looking at it from the wrong angle. Apple didn't buy it because they want their name behind some super good headphones, they bought it because it's a very highly profitable business. Taking inexpensive equipment, painting it a neon color, and selling it for 50x how much it cost to make is VERY profitable, and very desirable from the viewpoint of the financial division of a company like Apple.

Wait, didn't we establish you're just from a wealthy family?

I do come from a wealthy family but I make my own money too. I could afford my $500 a month car insurance, but my parents are kind enough to pay it until I graduate college. I'm a part time foreign currency trader, so on a good day I could make that whole payment (though, on a bad day I could lose that payment four times over).

High-end usually correlates with high quality, but not always. For example, Grey Goose vodka always tests in the last place of blind taste tests with cheaper vodkas, despite being one of the most expensive vodkas widely shelved.

High-end specifically refers to expensive products -- not high quality ones. Beats are low quality high end headphones.

If you race on local tracks that sometimes are dirt instead of pavement, it can.

All the "local tracks" here are pavement. Dirt would make sense.

The dangers of racing is your back and your neck. The whip effect can seriously forget you up. You don't necesarilly need to crash. Slamming your breakes or rapidly straighting out after a curve-drift can damage your back. I remember coming back from karting with a back-ache after countless brake slamming.

Go karts and cars are completely different. 2 ton masses of metal can't stop on a dime like go karts can. When I slam my brakes the g-force is nowhere near enough to damage my neck. Same thing with drifting, reattaching to the road doesn't jerk my head to the side. Plus, if you were planning on being a racer you'd get racing bucket seats that protect your neck by restricting head motion.

Do you seriously not understand the difference between choosing to put drugs into your own body and stealing money from other people?  Using drugs is not morally wrong.  Talking about using drugs isn't even illegal.  If someone did the actual equivalent of this thread - ie started a thread for buying/selling drugs - I'd probably ban them immediately. 

You completely misunderstood what I was saying -- my bad. I was replying to DrenDran because he said all the topics had died, I was simply correcting him. I wasn't passing judgement on your administration (or lack thereof) of the drug thread or comparing that thread to this one. My question was whether or not you're allowing this to operate out of Drama or not allowing it at all.

If you plan on being a racer, a word of caution: It will mess your back up really badly. I know this because my dad raced stock cars for about ten years, and now he has a crushed disc in his spine.

I'm not quite sure why this would happen to your dad. Unless he crashed a whole bunch, then sure that can forget up your back.

The pacman progress bar is not a package. It's an easter egg for the configuration file.

Also, rm -rf / doesn't work because things are mounted and in use. That's not to say it wouldn't forget up your system, it's just that it wouldn't do exactly what you think it would.
