this would be a great concept for a gamemode
basically you destroy the human before he destroys the entire build

Why not only use some of the add-ons in the megadump. Trying to use all of them is just idiotic.

what's wrong with it being old, that's not a reason for a new oneOld parachute changed the datablock and can be incompatible depending on what you use it for. Also:
it's not like it's going to rot and pass away like a human or something
If you attempt it, make it somewhat move like the hand glider, because the old parachute allows you to move backwards (that's not possible) with the hand glider you always move forward, the streams are nice too.
But it is Furdle's idea so you don't have to implement this, its just a suggestion.
