Off Topic / Re: Apple iWatch
« on: September 09, 2014, 03:38:21 PM »
there are smart watches out there yes. most if not all of them are only for android phones. apple didnt invent anything here.
the reason this device is awesome is because people want a smart watch for their iphone but never could get one. here is the chance. made officially from apple
Why would anyone want a watch that does what their Iphone does if they already have an Iphone, I don't understand. Heck I don't even think Iphones are useful but, this seems so redundant... I don't even.

Except that those charts aren't accurate... They said something about a bunch of tests, but I'm pretty sure it's just many iterations of passmark. Right off of the bat, a 295x2 is way better than a single 780ti, there's a reason it costs twice as much. Inefficient production costs, lots of companies bloat their prices for seemingly no reason as well, don't forget labor costs and material deficiencies; the Xbox costs the same amount as the PS4, yet the PS4's hardware is just in general terms superior. Other people have said the same as I have, it's just not accurate in terms of general performance, considering you should never accept a single benchmark result as an all-encompassing result. I neglected to mention that as I assumed it was obvious, but I guess if you felt compelled to point it out, then its all the more reason to point it out again.

Pay no attention to naysayers, Passmark/Benchmark is plenty accurate and will provide you with fairly accurate comparisons between products. If the comparison numbers are really close together, then that's the point in which you should go in and do your own comprehensive brown townysis, this is a service that is best used to narrow down your product search.

Once again Apple dazzles the world with its ultra gimmicky, extremely redundant, annoyingly cumbersome, and utterly useless piece of shiny machinery with technology that has existed for about 5+ years and will probably charge 3x the amount as everyone else. On the flip side, fancy watches are stupidly expensive already so maybe Apple will actually have competitive prices for once in their lifetime.

Ranks every piece of hardware ever made on performance by comparison to all others in a huge litany of tests. Use this when comparing to see how much better certain products are VS others and then compare the prices on your own to pick the ones you like most.

Referring to making them shoot and have the iron sights and ect, My apoligizes if you didn't understand me im trying to learn.
So, Models have one purpose and one purpose only: Eye candy, they do nothing else. The only thing you would be interested in to make weapons work would be the codes. Ironsights in Blockland are very finicky and honestly kinda ugly; and making them shoot is fairly straight forward. Look through some add-on scripts to try to deduce what causes what, I've left a large quantity of comments in mine to help new comers try to figure out what's going on.

Weapon models are not coded; I do not know how one could even approach the task of coding a model. There are no tutorials for how to code weapon models, so I am not sure what you are trying to do.

Will these work on khains weapon models?
Code is independent from models. So yes, they should.

We have almost reached the year 3000, what will be your new millennium furry resolution. Whatever it is it will probably involve Frontrox.

make things like this as you apparently used to but with better quality video/effects/sound, get eksi-famous, and then you'll actually have something to be famous about.
I literally have no idea why that video was so popular; I mean I guess its been out for a solid 3 years but still, its such an oddball for the very few things I actually put on youtube up until this point. But I doubt my channel will be very dedicated to one or two specific things.

There likely won't be any Minecraft lol, I haven't touched that game for a while; its just not very fun. It's essentially a game template and has not graduated from that title since the beginning.

So I've been beating around the bush for a very long time with the intention of doing stuff with my speaking abilities for a while now and decided it was finally time to actually put forth the effort into creating some proper content on Youtube with it, having no idea where to start I made this quick intro video: http://youtu.be/brVfEaeXcno both to guide myself and sorta ask around anyone who watches it what I should be doing.

I figured I'd also ask the forums since I will likely not be getting very many responses for that video on youtube itself. Whata you guys think I should start with?

>good with computers
>still uses windows xp

You think if you would actually be good with it you know that windows xp has achieved it's end of life and is vulnerable to zero day attacks.
The very nature of zero day attacks is that they are security holes that developers are unaware of regardless of if an operating system is discontinued or not, all of them can contain zero days; your statement seems to imply otherwise.

One thing you could try to do (assuming you've tried every predicable approach) is use another computer to install a Linux operating system onto your USB then use that to boot up your PC and use your choice of Linux to go through and remove hazardous files or install anti-virus onto the other hard-drive. Chances are the Virus is likely not smart enough to understand what to do on a different operating system and you should be able to fry it. This method is a rather "out-of-the-box" type of solution however, and is not guaranteed to work. Although I've recovered files from crashed hard-drives using this technique, so I imagine its feasible.

It is generally a good rule of thumb to not even make a topic about something until its more than 60% done; otherwise its just another uncompleted dream. I'll give this a week or two before the project is dead; I do hope I am mistaken.

Add-Ons / Re: Fluidity Player Release [8/15/14]
« on: August 29, 2014, 12:33:40 PM »
Well for one, the mod uses 3 different necessary player datablocks. What that means is, the climbing wouldn't work at all, or the playertype would switch back to Fluidity Player. Additionally, all the functions were made and tested for Fluidity Player specifically. As far as a next version, I essentially quit Blockland upon releasing this add-on.
You should use Space Guy's datablock swap support then, as its designed to hold and keep track of previous datablocks while changing them. You can find a copy of it inside of T+T2 (the one with the LMG). As for claiming that the climbing system would not work at all because it uses multiple datablocks is nonsense, as we can also see with T+T where another slow-movement playertype is used for the LMG and is swapped from any playertype you are using, regardless of type. The amount of playertypes is irrelevant; since you only swap between them when you are performing a very specific set of actions.

But I suppose that would put me in the position to fix this then if you've quit; shame your comments are severely lacking so I cannot determine what functions I need to modify; although I can't imagine it would be too difficult to go through the effort of doing so. Thing is, I'm really lazy; so if anyone else wants to take up this task before me, that'd probably be appreciated.
