I like the MAS spawn room for the new trenchdig. It's much bigger than the other one. Will we be able to play on the new build next weekend(if you don't get sick)?

The map probably won't be ready by then, since I still need to make both bases.


Blame me for the old spawn room of MAS. :P
At least the roof was much better though. ;)

Yeah, I would have used a similar roof design, but this spawn room is actually built into the outer wall of the trenchdig.
I can easily move it if I need to though.

The sun shining down Trinity Armory's access shaft, which was designed for flying bugs.


MAS beginning a raid on the Bug Hive.

And then suddenly an angry nerdy man with a LMG.


Having dispatched most of the bugs, the MAS forces jump down from their "safe" point and begin their raid (They failed miserably btw).

A dirt and grass barrier meant to keep bugs out of the spider cave. A side tunnel was quickly excavated, and the barrier never accomplished much. Looks kinda neat from this angle though.

Nah just kidding.
Talking about poison, still haven't got a clue what still needs to be looked at.
Well i know one feature i left out, okay, but what about bugs in the poison.
HURDDUURRR BUGS.

I think the poison spread function isn't working correctly. IIRC, when the poison is spread to another player, the initially poisoned player is cured of the poison (poison is removed).

I would like to see more bugs be released soon, but the poison has to get done first before that happens. :/

Version 1 of BugMod 2 doesn't need the poison, actually. So expect the release of Mod 2 by early next month. ;)

Server is now live!


Maybe on next week's server we could use the Advanced Combat Player mod i am working on.
If i am able to get it in a server use state before that time.

At least for the heavy caliber sniper.
He only has that sniper...
Maybe he can have passive cloak? :)

I'd like to see how powerful the playertype is first, but sure, I'd be happy to include it on the server.

My server used FrogFreak's Weps and FrogFreak's exclusives as a subtle test of 'overpowered' gear balance, in a way :S think this is why I don't get the updates in a timely manner anymore of things :P

Debated a run with Gravity's Default Weapons, but then again that'd be more for a 'generic military + Bugs' part, or that modified L4D style play. As I kinda did set up quite a bit of stuff for MAS in relation to the Frog gear :S

Probably not using it for my secret project. Though some of Gcat's things will appear...

Actually you don't get updates because I forget. And also because you don't host your servers often :L
Just let me know when you plan on hosting, and I'll send things over.



Changes for today's server:

-Actually fixed the Scarab-Wasps getting stuck on low walls
-Added 'MAS A.S.N. Bash' weapon to the ScarabWasps (replaced Firefly bash)
-Reduced the range and projectile speed of the Gauze Gun (This is meant to force medics to stay closer to battles, so hopefully camping will be easier to deal with now)

-Update load-outs for MAS's digging classes:
  -The Scarab-Wasp digger now has a MG sentry instead of the welder
  -The human digging class that had the MG sentry now carries the welder
  -The new welder class has had it's pistol replaced with the Single Shotgun
-Increase the duration of class descriptions to at least five seconds each (someone requested this. I forget who)

Because you can only have one light source that casts shadows.

Couldn't the day/night cycle script change the sun flare to a moon texture?
And once night comes, set the position of the sun to the moons position, and swap the texture.

I think I was the one who destroyed the first air ship. I know I destroyed the second one and got killed at the same time. The odd thing was when I was attacking the air ships a couple times, when I got on top of the ship, it would say"Only the Armyunits can ride in this ship". Also landing on top of the ship seemed to destroy it.

Will you be hosting a server today Army?

Eh? Landing on the gunship shouldn't destroy it.
And yes, the server is going up in ten minutes.

Well i was thinking of the mountpoint thing too.

We seem to be mentally synced. :O



Quick changelog for today's server:



-Fixed the Scarab-Wasps getting stuck on walls (especially while crouching)
-Increased the energy regeneration rate of the Exo-Suit (The exo-suit didn't necessarily need this in terms of game balance. I just didn't like how slow it was regen'ing. I'll probably need to fiddle with the damage numbers after testing)
-Reduced the back-splash of the HHF slightly (this is both a nerf and a buff. The HHF is now safer to use, but deals slightly less damage)
-Reduced the run-over damage of the Gunship
-Increased the min-run-over speed of the gunship
-Made the hole in the wall of the teleporter room easier to move though
