And it's k, minus the factor of game issues of being the only smart man (as usual) it's not like you swapping teams woulda fixed it. I'm guessing it was a curbstomp with me leaving as it woulda been if I stayed anyway :<

Some time after you left, I swapped teams and stopped that stomp. Then again... I was sorta leading that ASN Zapper Kill Squad.. :S

Also that flag barrier of yours worked out quite well once completed. Most MAS squads don't take miners with them, so the barrier forced them to go through several blind corners to get to the flag. And of course, Scorpions and Worms LOVE blind corners, sooo

Mantis and Wasp both look relatively awesome :D

As for Spine Mite, all a sudden I got requests for shrubberies stuck in my head...

The Spine Mite is meant to look like plants actually. It will be about to burrow, with the spikes just barely sticking out. If the ground has the grass emitter, the spikes should be pretty hard to see. I might also look into having the spikes change color with the ground, for even greater bug-mine results. ;)

Praying Mantis-
C-I like the mantis model, it looks cool. Thanks! :)
Q-Will it be able to fly? Yes. It will fly similar to the Earwig.
Q-Will it be able to grab people with it's arms? Yes absolutely, though the grabbing won't implemented. for some time

Blue Wasp-
Q-Will the wings on it be a clear dark blue or a solid color? I'm still undecided on this. They will either look like this, or like this.
C-I like the the blue wasp model except for the antenna. I think they should be less strait and more bent. They will be curved, of course. I modeled them straight to simplify rigging. ;) This is also the case for the Mantis.

Spine Mite-
C-This mite would blend in really well with grass if the person being this mite was a green color. Exactly. See my reply to Trinity Armory ^^^

Queen Mite-
C-I like the body of this mite and the mouth looks good as well. Same
C-I agree with you on the egg sack needing to be changed. kk

Also, will these new bugs be in this week's server? If I have time to rig, animate, and script them, yes.

Answers in bold.


Also, I won't have as much to to work on this during the next few weeks, since my Grandfather will be staying over for Christmas, and because Christmas things are happening.

Blue Wasp (Still not really happy with the head, but it is much better than before. I think I'll redo the front legs..)


Spine Mite (aka Potted Plant Mite)


Queen Mite (Not that happy with this model. I might redo the egg sack)

And I made one other model, but I can't show that because it is an unannounced bug.  :cookieMonster:


And as always, the funny triangulation will not appear ingame.

Apologies for the slight bit of rage I had when I left your server :S Stuck as the defense guy all the time doesn't help when ya has a Army and 3 ASNs dancing on your head all the time, and no teammates in sight...

Guess I'll go back to sulking and getting nothing done as usual :<

I have no idea how busy you are, but I have waited for that MAS powersuit for AGES, are you ever going to finish it? It looks so epic

I haven't worked on the Powersuit in months, partly because I've been working on other things, and partly because I'm just not that interested in working on it atm. I'll get to it eventually..
Lordician did make some decent progress on the Power Suit, but that was some time ago.
The add-on isn't dead, it's just been put on the back-burners for now.


So the last bits of poison are priority #1 right now, next up, IMO the Powersuit, but Army asked some other things for the other bug mods as well so...

Actually the poison mod isn't required for the initial release of Mod 2, since I pushed the Jumping spider to V2. If you want to finish up the powersuit first, that's fine.
Still, I really would like to update Mod 1 sooner than later.

I'll be hosting the server earlier than usual today (1:00 PM PST instead of 3:00 PM PST)

These are the only balance changes:

   +Increase the direct damage of the bug acid spit
   +Increase the radius damage of the caterpillar spit


The aim is to make the ranged bugs more effective against ASN classes.

Is there going to be anything new on the server this week? If so, I would like to see some pics of Friday's and Saturday's server of the new thing/things. I would still like some pics of the two servers even if there isn't anything new this week. I hope that's not to much to ask of you army.

Nothing new besides balance changes. I'll take pictures if I remember, which isn't entirely likely because I'm usually so busy playing.. :P
