General Discussion / This build is gonna be SO cool-- Aw man...

Have you ever had an idea that you thought would be a really great idea, started building, but got to a certain part and found out that it doesn't word? ;w; I've had that problem a lot with certain builds. For example, I wanted to use the air boat to make a water-race in the kitchen. I had alllll sorts of ideas, how the race track would be, how to event it, and after getting started and testing it out... I found out that Air Boats don't swim in water blocks. D:

I also gave up on making a game like Simon Says when I found out how many events it'd take...

What was your first impression of Blockland?

I thought it was an amazing game that legos had made and had every single brick from real life, which you would unlock once you bought the full version. Boy was I disappointed.... I also thought that all the other users were starfishs. :3

Help / The fixed duplicator for v12, isn't fixed. -_-

So I downloaded the "fixed" duplicator for v12, but now it doesn't work at all. I checked it in my add ons box, but it won't show up in game. D: What do I do now?

Help / My game is immune to arches. -_-

I went to Blockland, and noticed that the Arches weren't in my Blockland menu. They were also gone from all my builds I had saved that had arches, but I could still use them in other servers. Is there some reason for this? I tried reinstalling the game, extracting the arches file and replacing it with a new one in case there was some problem for that, but of course, that didn't work. -_-

Do you ever have something on Blockland where you get the idea, start building it so enthusiastically, and then after about 2 days give up?

I'm on my 3rd amusement park now, lol. Each time I make one, I add several rides and have SO many ideas of what I'll put in it, but after a few days I get bored and just let it sit in my saves, until a new version comes out. This time I really wanna try and be successful, but I doubt it'll happen. >.>

Suggestions & Requests / Scary Sound Effects

I was trying to build a haunted house ride, but I realized it was an epic fail. Why? THERE WAS NO SOUND EFFECTS. You can't have a haunted house without sound. So I'm asking for some basic scary sound effects. Screaming, heart beat, evil laughter, that kind of stuff.

For an example:
Screams.
Evil Laugh
Scary Laugh
Heart Beat

Those are just examples of what I mean though, doesn't necessarilly have to be those. But that would make a haunted house a LOT more effective than just some undulating red bricks and "Get Out" center prints. >_>

Do you ever have a moment in a DM, or a challenge, or something where your life is at stake, where just before you die your brain just thinks "I'm gonna die." Where it's INNESCAPPABLE? You hear the *clink clink* of a bouncing HE grenade? Or you turn a corner just in time to look down the barrel of a rocket launcher? Please, tell me about these moments.

Both of the things I described above were things that happened in Bob's good ol Afghanistan DM. I was running through  a building heading for the roof to snipe someone, when I heard the clinking noise of brooklyn's HE grenade. I shot icefire79 with a shotgun, and he retreated behind a corner of a building. I followed after him to finish him off, but he turned the tables on me and shot me with a Rocket Launcher. D:

I would love to see a pogo stick on blockland, as a vehicle. Just jump in it, and bounce about... 3 times the height of your person.  I know, pogo sticks don't work that well, but it'd be boring for it to work like a real one. D:

General Discussion / Dating is on Blockland TOO?

I was just on a server and couldn't help but notice two people's username: NPC Killer and.... "Wife" of NPC Killer. >_> Obviously they weren't really married, but they were talking all affectionately about each other, like "luv u bby" "ya luv u 2". When I was listening to this, I couldn't help but be reminded of several other "less than satisfactory" sites. Sites where any time you go to a chatline, you get washed over by a tidal wave of "B MY BF PLZZZZ!!!!!!11!!!1!111!". -__- I get the strong feeling that's the sort of situation these two were in. Not a real relationship, just some way to make it seem like they have love appeal. But this on BLOCKLAND? I really wouldn't expect that.

So, down to the discussing.
-Have you noticed anything like this on Blockland?
-How do you feel about these sort of relationships?
-Do you see Blockland with a future of fake relationships?

Help / These servers don't LOAD! Dx

Ever since V12 came out, I can't ever manage to load a server. Rather, I can load them, but since a common server has a ton of add ons that they dont really use all that much, but just think is cool to have (i.e., Sniper Rifle, Medigun, on a Space Build where they never get used) seem to be taking much longer to load. It also seems like I'm downloading the same things over and over again. I'm only downloading maps, sounds, and add ons, no music. I just never know how long it'll take to get into a server! T_T

Long story short, servers take longer to download than in V11. Is there a way to solve that?

Help / Making a Static IP Address, how?

I know my router. I know my IP address. I know that I need to make a private static IP address. I don't know how. For a long time now, I was told that I need to get DNS servers from my local internet provider, but they have made that very hard. Is this true that I need DNS servers? Am I doing something totally wrong?

I use a mac. That makes EVERYTHING a ton more complicated. Dx

No, I'm not asking for someone to teach me to script, before you get that impression. I'm mostly trying to explain something to a Roblox user, and he's talkin stuff about Blockland. D:<

Help / Some add ons don't show up.

I downloaded the two packs of doors that were additions to the first JVS set, and they won't show up in my game. I check their boxes, but they don't show up in the game. Same with a few other add ons. I don't think there's anything wrong with the add on file themselves, since so many other people have them, but I'd like to resolve this.

Something that drives me CRAZY when I'm building is someone else coming over to my build when it's incomplete, but is being evented, and test it. And test it again. And again. And again. It's especially bad when it involves a button and something exploding, they just button smash it to oblivion. D:

What's the most annoying thing that someone can do in Blockland in your opinion?

(I'd say please don't answer something like "Being a n00b", but I know that would only encourage people to answer that. -_-)
