that subaru model looks loveyNow that's something I like to hear! :D
Yeah. I really don't care if it looks "Blocko" or not. He did a excellent job modeling this and I'd love to use this for drifting. This looks like one of the Vehicles from Initial D series. No joke.
-snip-
I still think you could make it fit more into the style of the game, take a look at other blockland cars for example, it looks like a port to meIt is the subaru from this site. All I did was import the actual car into blender, and did a complete new model with a major butt-load less detail, re-faced it due to it looking "A tad bit HD", and made it blocko the best I could by doing so. I've put a lot of time in this, and I'm absolutely not sure now where the hell to update it to make it more "Bloko"!
The thing is, Blockland have it's model style of low poly flat shaded (with certain parts smooth shaded to remove the triangulation) models, an entire smooth shaded high detailed model would not fit into the game well, for example, port a car into the gameYou're right on this, and that's what I've did. Most of the whole car is flat shaded, and a few bits of this car is smooth to make it not look stupid in the render (Seriously this is a percaussion/test. I have no freaking clue on how it's going to turn out in-game.), but once again: This is not a port for blockland. I've taken the model from the site you've gave me, put it in blender and made a less "HD" type of model.
-snip-But here's the thing, it's absolutely not like that high-poly Peugeot. It may not look completely stupid when it's smooth shaded everywhere, but I only smoothed it in a few spots it needed to be in.
Yeah... I think you got my point, I mean this subaru model looks excellent and very well made, but I'm really sure it won't fit for Blockland unless he makes a blocko representation of it which we do with vehicles and other add-ons alike, and I'm really sure I've heard that high poly models like this can conflict with the game's engine and perfomance
You should reduce the size of the rims, it looks like one of those entrepreneur ed big rims you might see in some cars
If you think 16 is too much then try 12Oh no no no no, 16 looks good as I'm modeling it.
If you are making a round car then you should make the wheels round too. Octagonal wheels with a hi-poly body won't work too nice. Even the default Jeep's wheel is a circle with 16 sides. The wheels here have an 8 vertice radius. You want me to double that to 16 vertices?
yesAlright since this is the case, where and what in your guy's opinion needs a re-face job?
other stuff idk I'm dumb
That's nice but you should try to make it more "blocko"Not sure how it could be possible. Well actually to start off, what do you mean by "more bloko"? Should I delete some verticies and then re-face the car making it less "round" or whatever the word is I'm looking for? BC What I did was take a model from what you advised me to do, and then did a 3d trace of it (like a remodel of it w/ less "detail" and "HD" stuff).
Download Zmodeler, open the model, and then export it as any file that is compatible wtih blenderAlright thanks man!
I'd also suggest you to use car models from this as wellOk, thanks for the advice!

It could help you with the design and scale of the car
look niceYea could've been better if I used blueprints of the car, I apparently used this photo, and this photo to model the whole car.
