Imagine armor covered in spikes on the outside

Maybe not the worst, but the body proportions are definitely wonky

The only thing he has been improving is shading and coloring. I think it has been 2 years now.

eh, I feel like the body proportions kinda give it a little bit of a cute cartoony style to his drawings.
sure they can be toned down a bit but I feel like he should keep it slightly like how it is.

that's not armor, that would be a weapon!

well a weapon would be better than armor wouldn't it?

It could be useful if he put some kind of blade like thing on it.
could be used as a close combat weapon then.

Because his art pisses me off. I want it to move from being stereotypical deviantart stuff to something better.

Honestly I don't find his similar to Deviant art style.
and he is trying to improve, you just need to give him some time.
