You are killing innocent avian villagers for something that they didn't have a part of.

we wear the feathers to act as if we are carrying on their life and avenging them for the crimes that have been done to them.
Avians are a Peaceful race, but we will defend ourselves from people like you who run into places and shoot everyone on sight to get paid.

They also have carapace armor stitched into their uniforms, which means those sharp-looking dress blues provide enough protection to make modern 21st century infantry armor look like a heap of dog stuff by comparison.

Except their faces are still completely exposed to well.... anything.
all that glittery high tech armor isn't that good when your face is torn into 3 different pieces

I just thought of what could possibly be the contents of the strongbox.

Maybe it contains weapon paints?
Cause If you look in the back rooms of the spawn in Mannhattan you can see some painted shovels.
Maybe valve will finally add paintable weapons?
