but yeah i mean, i'm only bad ar dealing with really cheap and dumb tatics, like, char is about 1000 times more skilled than fastlex but char doesnt really use any super cheap attacks (cept robins b but that is more just me getting confused with the different b casts he uses) so when i play against him, i still have a fun time playing him albeit getting a little upset, i still enjoy the battle instead of just wanting it to be over (which is why i sucided when i was versing fastlex, the match was not enjoyable and just completely annoying.) char is actually good/fun to play cause he uses ALL of his moves to his advantage instead if just spamming the same two moves over and over again.

if you stand still or walk it blocks projectiles
if you run or attack or jump or anythin it wont work

isnt standing still/not moving like basically asking to get hit by everything though

in ssb4 it can be used while walking or standing still, it blocks all projectiles
you're probs dashing too much

and projectiles
put out some ranged pressure until they have to do something

no he doesnt have a shield, and I was projectiling him cause the second I got close to him he just spammed loving B bombs all over the place

He just stood at the edge doing nothing but shooting arrows and letting me push his "defence".

If I was in his position I'd slowly walk to enemy so that the shield would be up and ready to block projectiles.

I wast barely standing at the edge lol
you were rolling to the edges of the map and just throwing down your fire everywhere, and then rolled away
as soon as I got close and just spammed bombs everywhere

I was playing Captain falcon and then toon Link

toon link i was doing alright but I really didnt want to continue because it was just getting annoying so I killed myself.
in fact it wasnt really difficult, it was just really annoying.

i don't have a problem with these kind of players other than the fact that they're simply not fun to play against

i'm talking about those people who only use like 1 character and 1 tactic and spam that constantly until you lose

this was exactly what he was doing
we played two matches and all he did was play Mii gunner and only use four moves: Side B, B, Roll, and side A

Its hard to punish when someone plays Mii gunner, spams his Fire Side B + Bomb B, waits until you jump over and then rolls to the other side of the fire/map and continues to spam those two moves exclusively.

bs tactics are part of the game

you can't just "get good" instantly
and I dont want to treat this game as a chore in order to "get good"

I rarely play this game even with friends anymore cause of all the bs tatics everyone uses and whenever I tell people about it they jsut say "OH WELL U NEED TO GET GOOD"

Like, smash has gone from enjoyable to just infuriating at this point.
