yeah, just having any form of safety net for getting the heart upgrades is really needed
also I learned the reason why weapons seem to suck later on is because aswell as enemies getting more advanced in later levels, their HP scales up too, making them even more bullet spongy and annoying to kill.

one other complaint I have: I wish there was some sort of notifier for when you're at low hp, like a noise or effect or something cause I really cant take the time to glance at my health during these bullet hell boss fights.

honestly though I really wish the shortcuts werent buttforget expensive like they are because the real game starts at level 3 to me personally and the rest beforehand is kinda just a slow buildup to the "real stuff"
