Oh, well I don't just run a single program at a time.

no. 2gb is motherboards max

Purchasing "faster" RAM may improved the performance of a machine, but it will certainly not have the magical effects that many inexperienced users expect from it. I think they feel that adding RAM is like some kind of special elixer that will somehow fix all the problems with their computer and magically prevent them from having to perform a real hardware upgrade.
As a rule of thumb, if you understand the concepts behind what makes one stick of RAM better than another, then you are more likely to appreciate the difference it makes. If not, I wouldn't recommend reading to deep into it.
Took a year class. College course.
I thought it was some little kids game that you guys liked, but now I want to play it seeing as it kept saying stuff in that one video.
And matrix scene :D.
You also have WAY too many programs running.

1g is not average sry. even stuffty cheap best buy comps come with 2-3 now.
i forgot what it was named when tech nearly doubles in power every 2.4 years or so.
2gigs is long past its time.
average don't mean what you all have, it means what is industry standard, that things are being developed and released for.
memory has gotten SO SO cheap compared to other hardware, that its laughable to not have the minimum 2g
The number of transistors that can be inexpensively placed on an integrated circuit is increasing exponentially, doubling approximately every two years.
